I'm sure the players appreciate the lack of coughing though, something Snooker crowds are notorious for.

You should have seen the first match yesterday. They were all over the shop. About 5 visits each per frame.

A little rustiness is to be expected but they do have to sift through a lot of shit first.

True, also think practicing for a week will help lift the quality of the second round of groups.

 

The consistency just wasnt there from some players. Some of the misses from players arent even close to the jaw never mind the pocket.

 

As an aside, I notice three of the co commentators are Joe Perry, Ken Doherty and Stuart Bingham, all of which are in the tournament. Probably a good way of reducing the amount of people on site.

The all Leicester clash between Selby & O’Connor ends in a 2-2 draw. O’Connor making a 143 break, his highest as a professional and tbf he should have won the match, missed a gimme of a red in the last frame.

 

Selby must beat Wenbo later to go through.
