The Belarusian Premier League or the Vysheyshaya Liga is the top division of professional football in Belarus, and is organized by the Belarusian Football Federation. The number of teams in the competition has varied over the years from as high as 17 to as low as 11. As of 2019, the league includes 16 teams. Apparently, they’ve managed to pull in a load of new broadcasting deals, as they’re the only league still active.

filbertway Posted 1 April 2020 Posted 1 April 2020 I had an FM game once where I decided to pump a ridiculous amount of money into Belarus and see how long it took to become the top league in Europe. I was Gomel and had a massive 2 decade rivalry with Gorodeya. I expected BATE to get stronger and stronger but they ended up becoming a nothing team within 4 or 5 seasons. Up the Gomel! Just seen they're in division one, not a surprise, they were the lowest ranked Prem team at the time haha
