IMPORTANT SEASON TICKET INFORMATION: MARCH 2020

Hi first name,
Leicester City Football Club can today confirm a series of ticketing contingencies that have been put in place considering current disruptions caused by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

Professional stakeholders in the English game have suspended all fixtures until 30 April at the earliest, with a collective commitment to finding ways of resuming the 2019/20 season as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.

In the interests of providing some assurance to supporters while we await further clarity on the resumption of Premier League football and any associated impact on both the current season and the 2020/21 season, the following prospective measures have been put in place:

AUTO-RENEWALS FOR 2020/21 SEASON TICKETS SUSPENDED

Nearly 15,000 Season Ticket Holders on the Club’s Direct Debit scheme would have been due for auto-enrolment in the coming weeks in relation to the 2020/21 season, but this process will now be deferred until further clarity has been provided on how season 2020/21 may be impacted by the game’s on-going response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All current Season Ticket Holders will retain priority over their existing seats during this time and, until further advised, no payment will be taken from them for the 2020/21 season.

Further information on 2020/21 Season Tickets will be released at the appropriate time.

SEASON TICKET REBATES/MATCH TICKET REFUNDS – SEASON 19/20

In the event that any of our postponed home 2019/20 fixtures go ahead as normal, all tickets will remain valid for the rearranged date.

However, if it is determined that any of City’s four remaining home Premier League matches in the 2019/20 season cannot be played at all, or will be played behind closed doors, then Season Ticket Holders will have the choice between:

• offsetting the pro-rata value of the affected matches against the cost of their 2020/21 Season Ticket; or

• a cash refund of equivalent value.

In these circumstances, refunds would also be offered to supporters who had purchased individual tickets for the affected fixtures (and this would also be the case for ticket holders for our postponed Emirates FA Cup quarter final match against Chelsea, if that tie was ultimately cancelled or played behind closed doors). This would also apply to Leicester City supporters that have purchased tickets for away matches.

2019/20 FINAL DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENTS

For those Season Ticket Holders on the Club’s Direct Debit scheme, the final payment for the current 2019/20 season is due on Wednesday 1 April. The 2019/20 season remains active, albeit currently suspended, with all Premier League clubs sharing the objective of playing the remaining matches and completing the season. We would appreciate it, therefore, if supporters can meet this final instalment.

We understand that the current situation has presented unforeseen challenges for many. Supporters suffering particular financial hardship who are concerned that they may not be able to meet the 1 April payment should contact the Club on [email protected], quoting their supporter number.

The Club would like to extend its appreciation to supporters for their patience and understanding during this uniquely challenging time and assure its Season Ticket Holders that every possible step will be taken to ensure further information relating to the 2020/21 season is issued in good time, allowing for personal circumstances to be considered before financial decisions are made.

Further updates will be issued to Season Ticket Holders directly and via lcfc.com.

Preparing for every outcome. Easier to do it in one email rather than two or three.

Only thing it doesn't say is how much season tickets are next season.

:D think they've already managed two or three

Unbelievable that it's taken the club that long to issue a statement about tickets.

They should have given people the option to freeze the April payment by clicking on a link in the statement, even my local gym managed to do that.

Are you surprised?

No, just disappointed.

In fairness I dont think anyone has a clue what is going on with anything at the moment. It's not just confined to LCFC. I actually think it's fair. I would perhaps have been tempted to defer the April payment till may as there will  be  o football this month at least.
