Lesta2014 Posted 29 July 2020 Posted 29 July 2020 27 million cost for one season! No thank you, if he’s a flop it’s a bigger waste than the 27 we spent on slimani! Loans are meant to be fairly risk free and cheaper than buying. This is totally opposite! A huge no from me despite him being absolute quality! 1

But if he absolute quality, as you suggest, surely that vastly minimises any risk. For me it depends what the alleged £27mil loan fee entails in subsequent buy clauses and whether or not part of the loan is offset in any further purchase. 1

Mental thread. - Firstly, he'll never come here to kick a ball with Gray and Barnes, no matter how much his form has dipped. Rodgers had him at Liverpool not Swansea. - Secondly, his wages are astronomical and nowhere near of what the club could afford, let alone the rift it would cause in the dressing room. - Thirdly, a loan for 27M is daylight robbery. These sums are way out of our league and would absolutely explode our budget without even being guaranteed on the return. One injury and everything goes down the drain. - Fourthly, did I say he'll never come here? Edited 29 July 2020 by That_Dude 6

urban.spaceman Posted 24 August 2020 Posted 24 August 2020 We should definitely get him in on loan IMO, if only for Barca to have to suffer yet more indignity of having to pay Liverpool another £5m for him winning the Europa AND Carabao Cup.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 24 August 2020 Posted 24 August 2020 I'm still not over the fact people wanted him here for less than 12 months for 27 million pounds. That's Tagliaficos transfer fee
