Loans are meant to be fairly risk free and cheaper than buying. This is totally opposite! But if he absolute quality, as you suggest, surely that vastly minimises any risk. Mental thread. - Firstly, he'll never come here to kick a ball with Gray and Barnes, no matter how much his form has dipped. Rodgers had him at Liverpool not Swansea. - Secondly, his wages are astronomical and nowhere near of what the club could afford, let alone the rift it would cause in the dressing room. - Thirdly, a loan for 27M is daylight robbery.
