I know the BBC doesn’t get much live football and it’s probably running short of anything original to show but a Bournemouth v Palace  in a deserted stadium on BBC1 at 7.45 on a Saturday night

Mendy getting a look in then? If I was him I wouldn’t play unless get a contract could end up injured and screwed and not paid for a year if no one signs him!

I would have thought that the club would be only too happy to offer him a new contract.  He is solid back up for free but I imagine he will want to leave for regular first team action and I wouldn't blame him.

Just seen it reported that the Dutch govt are proposing to allow supporters back into stadiums from 1st Sept with 1.5m social distancing and no chanting or singing allowed (to reduce risk of spreading the virus). Personally would take this over not being allowed in at all but would be pretty weird! (cue comments that there wouldn't be much difference!)

What do you reckon?

I mean it depends on how stringest the authorities were, but I imagine that by the time the first goal goes in the 1.5m distance will be long forgotten, as would the no chanting or singing.

You're essentially asking thousands of people to strictly comply in a highly emotive environment. The compliance just ain't gonna happen
