The French league has finished hasn't it? Job done for Puel.

Incidentally, aren't St. Etienne still the most successful club in French football (in terms of top tier titles)? It'd be great if a historic club like that could come back and challenge PSG. Maybe not likely with our Claude in charge though.

My apologies.  Gary Medson has no team at the moment.

It's okay we don't expect a list of what all our former managers are doing now, although you seem to have set yourself up for it.

Is it Cup Final day in France?

Just noticed Watford don’t play until Tuesday as well vs Man City, unless the OP was in reference to them needing Southampton to get a result.

Looks like it's next Friday. Come on the Puelster!

Claude did win the Ligue 1 with Monaco though. He also took Lyon to their first CL semi-final ever and qualified Nice (who largely were underdogs) for the Europa League. He did struggle nationally at Lyon, who were steam-rolling the league at that time, and failed to win the title (twice runner-up), but it's not like we're talking about a small time manager who doesn't know what it takes to win a title or battle in the European cups.

No club in that league has an actual chance in hell to really challenge the PSG at the moment given the incredible gulf in quality and financial power between them and the rest. It's literally one team league if I ever saw one I think an acute comparison would be Manchester City competing with 17-18 Burnleys, Brightons, Villas, and Norwichs (no disrespect to these clubs) with the odd Wolves and/or us.

Yeah, fair point. He does have an impressive track record, but you're right there's a very remote chance that anyone could come in and compete with PSG.
