Don’t get the negativity personally. We do shit, Rodgers gets sacked. Congerton won’t be far behind. Happened before at the club. Will happen again

But not to the tune of £40-50m which is what it will cost us to get rid of Rodgers. Horrifying thought, he simply has to be a success here.

Surely upon surely his contract would have kpis in it?

You can't get his salary and then insist that you still.want the money if you're 15th all season.

I'd imagine there are break clauses if, say, we are outside the top 13 for 8 or more consecutive weeks..if.not, I'd sue our legal and hr team

Pretty sure managers are entitled to the majority of their contract paid off but some come to an agreement in order to not have any issues later down the line in taking another managerial job.

Football is a weird game. Most places when you are utterly wank at your job you get fired with no pay off.

If I worked for someone and only achieved half of what I was supposed to, I would expect yo eventually be sacked. Quite disappointing that I dont get the rest of my years paylol:brendan:

We will finish 7th or 8th imo. We won't improve our squad and will end up getting townsend on deadline day. You heard it here first. We will get QF or europa league dropping out to One of the italian teams. You heard it here first.

I can appreciate he is on good money but surely, surely it won't cost that much to sack him. That is an absurd gamble by us if so.

Won’t be that - they will be a clause where it’s something like a year’s salary. Just in the same way the average persons is two months salary.

If the shit hits the fan, Top will do it. It’s a drop in ocean compared to the lost revenues of the Premier League

Too early. We'll have a better idea after the transfer window.

Current squad:

PL: 6th-8th (taking into account the EL strain).

Cups: Out at some point before the semis.

EL: Out in the last 32/16, depending on the final position in the group stage.

Edit: That's supposing Rodgers and the team get a good start in the season.

Hard to say without knowing who stays and who goes, but regardless the start of the season is crucial. If we lose a couple of the early games the pressure will already be on and Foxes Talk will be out for Rodgers head. Get a few wins and people will calm down and we can hopefully enjoy the European adventure, even if it's sadly without us being able to see games either home or away.

I'd imagine we finish somewhere between 7th and 10th next season. European football will stretch the squad and other teams around us will improve.

It's not only about fans, a bad run of 4-5 games will definitely sink the team. We ended this season on a very sour note and it's crucial to go back to winning ways from the get go or it will end in tears.

Congerton better proves the doubters wrong and delivers 2-3 good signings.

Gardening leave, other clubs have done it and Brendans ego would not allow him or his support team to sit at home whilst the contracts run down, as soon as they get a new job we stop paying them.

The whole situation has the feel of inevitability about it, hope I am wrong.

Quite possible that the season will end up suspended like this one around new year. We should first be predicting if the season will finish at all, then if any fans can attend. After that perhaps think about where we will finish.

I think both the CL and the EL will be suspended. Or at least British clubs will be forced to withdraw. Domestic leagues I can see going ahead but with no crowds. Personally I don’t think we will be back at the KP until either a vaccine has been successfully produced and distributed, or somehow the virus dies away itself. I can’t see the euro’s or the olympics going ahead either.

Could very well the case and it might come much sooner than that. There are already spikes everywhere (people just never learn) and the autumn isn't far way.

Nevertheless, a vaccine should hopefully be there at the end of this year or the beginning of the next one.
