Mid table unless we seriously strengthen. All the big club are in better shape than they were at the beginning of last season and the likes of wolves kicking on.

partly the reason why I’m so gutted we blew champions league because I genuinely feel it was our best chance for a long time to come.

The pleasing thing as fan last year was that after our title win I didnt think we would be involved in high profile games again. Especially after how the 2016/2017 season went.

Last year we were game of the day on a few occasions.

Liverpool at home was very hotly anticipated by not only fans of both clubs but by neutrals.

The Arsenal away game was well watched.

United at home was again the game of the day.

To add to that, we are now the victim of banter of many United fans. In the past, they wouldnt have batted an eye lid at Leicester.

What I want from next season is to be a part of those sort of games again. Leicester City will always be dear to me and to all of you but to be relevant in a global football context is great problem to have. I want to see us progress rather then fall away like we did last time.

Current squad and manager not good enough for Europa league and pl. Bottom half finish. Unless there’s decent investment.

Agree with this.

But this is the start of a slide. Rodgers and Congerton are bad for the club and all we can do is hope we do not end up like Sunderland and Hamburg.

I've got to be honest, I think bottom half.

This is obviously open to change but it pretty much entirely hinges on us recruiting well at this point.

We're on a slide and have been for a long time. Our second half of the season form would have us I think 12th, and that's with there being very little between 12th and 17th. We have been only marginally better than teams like West Ham & Aston Villa in this half of the season.

I do think the way you finish a season is more important than it's given credit for. Don't forget how well we finished in 2014/15 and how we carried that over. See countless other examples - Watford's 2018/19 season saw them in European contention for large parts, ended up finishing bottom half, losing 6-0 in the cup final and the following season were relegated.

Add this in to the fact we have a very tricky schedule next year. We knew that anyway but it's going to be even harder than the one we've just had. I could see us having another situation where we're missing loads of players and that will hit literally any team.

We are relying on Rodgers to turn the fortunes around Congerton to deliver a good window. I'm not sure either of these things have happened before.

I think Europa League should be the aim in the league but I don't think we'll actually do it, if that makes sense.

A 6 month slump is deeply alarming and we've previous for losing momentum and nose diving towards relegation, just look at the fate of Ranieri. The quick turnaround makes it feel even less likely that we put this capitulation behind us and start afresh, likewise no fans in the stadium makes it harder for the variables to evoke a change to things.

We are pinning everything on 3-4 new signings that can boost the team and allow Rodgers to get the level of performance out of the others that we saw in the first 10 months of his reign, its a huge ask given his and Congerton's reputation in the transfer market. We are further pinning our hopes on Rudkin, WOW! Hahahahaaa

I think we'll finish 9th and get to the last 16 of Europa League, thsts me being very positive as our 2020 form is more like bottom 6/7 and bottling any high profile game.

It's too soon! I'm gonna wait until we see what our squad looks like after the transfer window closes. Pressures on Rogers and his coaching staff as well as Rudkin and the owners!

Hard to say without knowing who stays and who goes, but regardless the start of the season is crucial. If we lose a couple of the early games the pressure will already be on and Foxes Talk will be out for Rodgers head. Get a few wins and people will calm down and we can hopefully enjoy the European adventure, even if it's sadly without us being able to see games either home or away.

I'd imagine we finish somewhere between 7th and 10th next season. European football will stretch the squad and other teams around us will improve.

If we sign a new striker and experienced midfielder 6th or 7th , I would also remove the captaincy from Kasper and give it to Jonny or perhaps the new midfielder , we need a real motivator on the field .

I know it's negative negative negative from me at the minute but I think we're absolute prime candidates to lose to someone a bit embarrassing in the Europa. Could totally see us losing at a Slovan Bratislava.

Luckily we don't have any qualifiers so we won't face anybody as dross as that but bloody hell yeah lol

If we can get our first team, the team that mainly played the first half of the season, on the pitch and firing for a sustained period we should be at least mid-table with Europe possibly hindering for a while before Christmas.

I think we've got too much individual quality to avoid being dragged into a battle to stay up but the late season form may still be in the mind. 9th/10th.

You dont have to find it entertaining or exciting, but it is the reality of the situation.

No i just find your opinion tiresome. Almost like you’re repeating what previous fans of other clubs have said because it sounds good. I’m glad you know so much about the ins and outs of the club though, maybe you could educate the rest of us seeing as you know so much.

By that do you mean I'm drawing on things that have actually happened? Got nothing to do with what fans have said. If I wanted to say something that sounds good I'd say that we're amazing and Rodgers is a genius because we finished 5th.

The players we bring in are crucial. We need some additional quality to break teams down. Probably a winger or 2, a creative midfielder, a Vardy replacement, as I feel Vardy will start winding down soon so we need to phase him out as much as I dont want to.

I also feel we need a new centre back, Evan's was crap towards the end over season. Our defensive record after lockdown was relegation standard, especially away from home.

We could do with offloading some of the crapper squad players who arent even Championship standard.

If we can do that we will have a good season, probably finish about 8th as every big 6 club will be better next year at least Liverpool, Man City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs will be above us. There might be a few good surprise acts too like Southampton.

If we start with the same squad no changes, we will be near the bottom.

Don’t get the negativity personally. We do shit, Rodgers gets sacked. Congerton won’t be far behind. Happened before at the club. Will happen again

It's a hell of a lot of money this time, though.

I’m a bit concerned about the pay off it’ll take to get rid of we get to that stage. We’ve already spent £9m getting him, sacking him and his staff will set us back tens of millions that we can’t really afford. We desperately need it to work out and should probably stop rushing it to giving contracts out, obviously there was interest from Arsenal around that time but surely we could have held firm given he’d not even been here a year yet

Proportion is needed here , last four matches : well on top against Bournemouth ,should have won two or three nil ; Comfortable victory against Sheff Utd. ; Outplayed Spurs and then done by a world class striker ; Well in the match against Man.Utd. if Vardy's header had been a foot lower probably a draw at least. Lack of clinical finishing is our undoing if we solve that we are plenty strong enough to challenge top six again. We are good you know, so cheer up.

Agree with most of that but we didn't outplay Spurs.

We created a few chances, they took theirrs. Then it went standard Mourinho and they were happy to sit back on a 3-0 lead with ease, even if we had large amounts of possession.

Could be a hit and miss season with so many games, not featuring in the league cup will help a little, personally think 8-9th and a decent run in the europa would be a decent season
