A good cup run and top half is about as optimistic as we should be after that finish. I'll say 7th.

 

A lot of clubs will have their sights on Europa League next season, namely Spurs, Arsenal, Wolves, Everton, ourselves and even Southampton. Leeds also being an absolute wild card.

 

Lets get far in Europe and the FA Cup (as long is our Prem status isn't under threat)

If we can clear our heads, shake off the hangover and energise that hurt and feeling of what might've been, then I think we can give breaking into the top six again another good go. 

 

.... But it could be mid table if we don't get to grips with the Thursday/Sunday matches. I'm going 9th but a decent Euro run (perhaps even the semi's).

Should be targeting a top 8 finish at least pushing for the top 6 year on year. After the end of that season would take a top half finish and a decent run in the Europa League. 

 

Prediction: 7th

With current squad id say between 12th and 8th in the league.  Home cup competitions we will do well in until we come up against a top 6 side then we will fold against them, whichever round it is.

 

Europa I can see us getting out the group stages at least, possibly last 16.

 

If however we were to buy 3 or 4 genuine first team players then it could all change and I could see a top 6 push again in the league.

12th place finish. Group stages of Europa League.

 

About 20 calls that don't go our way as opposed to 5 that do.

 

New manager in place going into August 2021.

Depends if we can bounce back from the capitulation of the last few months. I'm far from certain the current crop of players have the mental strength to do that and the Europa League will be a big distraction. Unless we get serious quality signings the so-called big 6 will be out of reach, Wolves will be stronger and other sides will be more our equal if they get investment.

I think somewhere between 10th and 14th in the league is a distinct possibility. Doubt we'll take the Europa seriously enough to do that well in it so depending upon who we get  group stage may be as far as we progress. We will only play the youth team in the League Cup and FA Cup will depend upon the draw. Avoid any top side and 1/4 final a possibility.

If we get the quality we need and the characters we need then we could do better but the top six looks a long shot next season.

Without targeted strengthening in midfield and up front, together with better tactical approaches and game management, upper mid table at very best such as 8th, but probably lower. 

 

Europa League will be a struggle after initial rounds

Europa league victory in the final over Atletico Madrid (who have dropped down from CL) due to a very dodgy decision (for once in our favour).

 

Vardy golden boot.

 

Wes knighted.

 

Chilwell and Maddison appear on Paris catwalk.

 

Safehouse in General Chat is full of cobwebs. 

 

The optimistic bus takes off.

 

Then England win the Euros.

 

Aim high, children...

Europa League QF

 

Think we might have a shaky start with disappointment still lingering and important players still out or only just back from injury. 

 

Once a settled side is back i fancy us to go on 1 very good run of form to get up the table. 

 

I expect Spurs to definitely finish above us, with Arsenal and someone like Southampton pipping us as well.
