It’s absolutely mindless...... surely the ambition is to reduce the potential for any interruptions to the season, and I can’t imagine this will help....

The pathway in our academy isn't ready or talented enough for our ambitions. We need quality incoming signings or this season will be a bloodbath.

This is my fear. It sounds dramatic, but I really feel if this is where this season ends up, we will be fighting for our survival.....

7 - Kasper, Ward, Justin, Evans, Soyuncu, Tielemans, Praet, and Eppiah.

Apart from Praet, the international players who are involved in our best side will probably get at least 90 minutes so as long as they don't need to quarantine, I'm assuming they don't, then it's not the end of the world. Not sure Evans should be joining up having not been involved for us but with him not playing initially I don't suppose it matters.

There will be clubs missing more players than us.

I'm hoping we have another friendly this week.

This surely points to KDH going out on loan then. He talks about 'them' as plural but can't think of anyone else who would be Championship level?

Hirst, Muskwe, Knight, Johnson, Leshabala....

Are the players away on International duty needing to isolate when they get back or are they in a special bubble or something? I see Çağs is hanging out with a friend in Turkey right now, they’re on our isolation list 🤔

I doubt it, they must be given an exemption otherwise most teams would be playing severely weakened sides for the first two weeks.

I tell you now.. this break will cause a real stink... players comeback with c19 and having to isolate.  Whike away they are out of the clubs control... and it is a way of spreading c19 around every prem club.... all utds players have fratenised with pogba...if they were in his family they would all be doing 14 days isolation

This - if Rodgers is focusing on what every other PL club does i.e. loan our players to lower leagues (with the exception of a couple) then we must/have to be bringing in a minumum of 3/4 players. If we don't you can forget about the EL because I genuinly don't think we'll have the fight in the PL after potentially getting trashed in the EL pots we are likely to be in.

BR hasn't talked about transfers once this summer nor has he spoke much to the media outside of our clubs media. Someone itk please enlighten me and save my soul.

Trashed in EL Pots?!?

We could equally end up with an easy group which see us with the ability to put shadow squad players in the latter group games

Yes trashed. Based on the info we are likely going to be in pots 2/3. With our squad and on top of PL games, and say 1 or 2 key injurys, then yes we're screwed and I'm very concerned as a fan.

We could have only 2 defenders and 2 midfielders if our internationals all have to quarantine, absolutely wild 😂😂😂

You can't expect players to quarantine after playing for their countries, they'd miss six matches until November at that rate. Clubs would refuse them going next time.

But why will they make exemptions for this, is it only non-essential travel that constitutes quarantine rules?

I'd assume they'd be in a "bubble" of only tested officials and staff. It would be a way of limiting exposure.

Possibly, not looked into it. I'd find it surprising if clubs let their players go if they knew they'd have to quarantine and miss club matches.

Sit back and watch... this will happen and the clubs will go crazy

I thought elite sports people didn't need to quarantine if traveling for sport? With the testing and bubbles etc.  The Champions League and Europa League teams didn't. Surely the same will apply for the international games?

We could easily get a group of Copenhagen, Ludogorets and Molde.

Games don’t start until October when we have a number of players fit.

I can't be the only one who thinks it's absolute nonsense that these internationals are still going ahead, surely?

There doesn’t appear to be much interest ( or a declining interest) in England games these days in any case

Ridiculous that they are, just gives more opportunities for infections. Especially so close to the new season. Honestly an appauling decision

Exactly countries are on lockdown and not allowing people to travel yet it's okay for footballers to mix with other nations and come back and get on with it while others have to quarentine for two weeks.

Shocking

Diabate is back in Leicester today. May very well see him feature on the weekend with decreased numbers available.

I want him involved next season with multicoloured braided hair again.
