Imagine listening to Rob Tanner and trusting what that pillock says🤣

I’m not sure why he thought we spent very little £80m/£39m out but that probably didn’t include KDH anyway so probably more like about £10m income from fees out

The club needs to get back to the model that made us successful, the Nigel Pearson model. Young, hungry players from top academies but who dont have a future at those clubs. Talented young players already in the EFL with a mix of free agent experienced pros on short term deals. No big wages, no egos. No long term contracts for players over 30

All true, but we don't have Nige to drive this. We are run by fools

Seagrave still on the books at full value which is nicely propping up the balance sheet lol

Not going to end well

How can it be valued at more than £50m.  and that’s a massive stretch.

If I've learnt anything about our financial issues its that no one outside the club has been that close to the actual figures whether it be over or undershooting it. There's clearly many factors that aren't being considered when the "experts" do their breakdowns but it's certainly shocked me that it's that much!

Clearly KP haven't tried hard enough to rectify these issues because something has to give. They aren't willing to make big enough sacrifices in my eyes!

So in conclusion, we are burning through money at a unsustainable levels, especially if we're relegated.

We'll have a few player sales next year, but that will just go to service debts I reckon.

Goodness me, what a mess we've found ourselves in

That sounds very much like benefit of the doubt to me.

It’s possible to have ‘benefit of doubt’ (as you call it) or informed guesswork (as I call it) without being pro-KP is all I’m saying

From the BBC...

Leicester lost £71.1m in Premier League relegation season - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c070k00er0no

It takes the club's financial losses over the three-year period when they yo-yoed between the top flight and Championship to more than £180m.

That is astonishing

To think we went into administration years back with a debt of around £30 million and these figures dwarf that.

Something is seriously wrong and I fear it could be catastrophic financially if we do drop.

When you look compared to Prem last year, Forest and West Ham had bigger losses than us (78 and 104 respectively)

I’m not sure that’s any comfort, given the basket cases these clubs are.

But football finance in general is in a mess, lots of clubs with wages in excess of 100% of turnover… and this includes plenty of clubs doing relatively nothing in their respective divisions.

The main thing I’d welcome from the accounts is our wages to revenue figure of around 80% - that’s the requirement for clubs not in European competition under the new rules in the Premier League next season; and whilst we’re obviously not going to be there ourselves, it’s the right sort of level to aim for regardless.

The other thing that should give us some cause for optimism - the investment in our academy and Seagrave is pointing towards paying significant dividends in the near future, both in reduced player outlay and transfer fees receivable.

I think it’s imperative we stay up, it will be interesting to see what Leeds posted in their second season, they brought in £110m in sales for year 2 but had similar losses for season one.

So if they posted substantial losses for season 2 despite bringing in that cash we really are ****ed as this squad has barely any resale value
