Alf Bentley Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Worry ye not..... It was only Riyad Mahrez releasing a little anal gas in the Charles De Gaulle departure lounge, after being informed that he couldn't have a transfer to PSG and would have another 2 wasted seasons at the Etihad. 3
Adster Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Not sure, but I think a plane may've broken the sound barrier.

Yeah, but an emergency can mean all sorts of things. Our rapid response jets are based in Coningsby and are always getting scrambled, but it's never actually anything serious.
Jimothy Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 I don’t know of anyone mentioned it, but apparently a plane broke the sound barrier.
ealingfox Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Was caused by a plane overhead breaking the sound barrier.
SpacedX Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 "The blast was heard over the city" Doesn't mean that it occurred there. An aircraft flying supersonic at say 50,000 feet can produce a sonic boom cone about 50 miles wide because the "boom carpet" is a mile for every thousand feet. Most likely a military exercise. It was immediately reported in Paris...because it's Paris. Be interesting to learn where else it was heard.
Stuntman_Mike Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 There is a sound barrier and a plane flew through it and broke it.

Are you suggesting the bang could have been caused by a sonic boom from an aircraft?

SpacedX Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 A plane tracking app would be handy right no.. Maybe not.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 A barrier was broken by a plane, according to some reports it smashed it.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Should have made the barrier more sturdy
