Efficiency is fantastic but the jobs will go. As they will in many industries. 

I'd imagine insurance companies are more willing to write off a car nowadays too, given the struggle for parts in repairs, and the huge rental car bill that entails because of it.

I'd also add that these extra large rolls are useless to me as the don't fit my holder. The idea is to avoid waste, cut down on the number of cardboard rolls, but they could do that by making the rolls narrower, so that the larger rolls might still fit all holders.

Also, it's wild that Peter Thiel called his company by the same name - Palantir. Either he's wildly ignorant of the context, or he knows it through and through and is just showing off the sociopathy of the service he offers because he feels he can get away with it.

*Proud Dad post*

 

Our daughter just got her A level results this morning. She got A*, A, B, and an A for her EPQ. 

 

She's also been accepted in Exeter Uni to study Maths starting next month.

 

I've never seen anyone graft so hard for it and she's a proper geek/nerd. 

 

Despite all the challenges over the years with her OCD, anxiety, and therapy, she battled through it all with great resilience.

 

So happy for her :)

Exeter,  which I know quite well is a nice city to study in too.
