Was he really THAT bad? I don't rate him at all but I didn't think that was a horrendous performance from him. 

 

Edit: My bad, the posts I read were from a couple of weeks ago. I thought they were from tonight.

Surely he’s not getting stick from tonight? Thought he was absolutely fine, a solid 7/10 performance. He’s really growing on me

Plays full back like Danny Simpson. Did really well last night, defending back post superbly.

 

Brum tried to target him as well and he more than stood up for himself. Has shown more mental fortitude than most of squad turning his career round here

He's a big weak link for me, shits the bed every time he gets the ball and has no passing confidence,  gets beaten too easily. Likable and tries but hes not good enough.

Is this based on yesterday? 

 

Because he was absolutely fine in my opinion. 

 

Can't remember any mistakes that led to chances, or any really bad misplaced passes...

Solid player, will have some shockers and will have some decent games. Offers us the balance at the back that we will need to allow Ricky P to roam which could end up being the difference between us going up or staying down.

 

Would be great to have another more dynamic, aggressive player on that side as well but I recon he grows into it and has a solid season.

This lad gets so much unwarranted stick. One of one defender he's sound. Doesn't really shirk anything. Alrite in possession and puts in a decent dead ball. I don't know what more people want?

Thought he was very decent last night - he’s been stuck with a lightweight reputation from the past but he seems to be maturing. Could add a bit more strength but doing better than his reputation with some of our fans.

How can he make mistakes when all he does is pass the ball back to our goalie when there is no opposition player within 20 yds of him. Lacks in confidence in passing the ball forward, especially to his wingman..

You just described our entire backline and half our centre mids, can you be specific in what LT does that bothers you.

He was ok last night in the end, but opponents clearly target him as our weak link. Attacking options are the priority in the transfer market clearly, but LB would be one worth looking at too imo.

Think Thomas is a player in which people are gagging to jump all over his average to poor performances to prove their previous agendas correct. Happens with Hamza too. Thomas was fine last night.

Luke has a much harder job to do at LB than our RB does because Mavididi is not the best defensively and does not always track the opposition RB leaving Luke to deal with two players, whereas our RB has Fatawa in front of him who is brilliant at tracking back and much better defensively than Mavididi.

Alternatively , he's likable and tries, and has had a few odd good games, so people are gagging to defend him when he really is targetted by opposition teams and is in fact not good enough / can massively be improved upon

When he first came through, he always had a decent left foot on him. Overlapped a bit. The more knowledgeable will be able to tell me why he seems quite reluctant to do that in this system. Teams are doubling up on the wingers and rightly so, surely would aid our wingers with the full backs overlapping ? 
 

I thought he was calm and steady - rebuilding his career with us,

I was probably overly harsh on him but I just find his on the ball ability so frustrating. He looked so composed when he came through. Now seems in a constant state of panic. 
 

Cant knock is effort and gets stuck in though which is what we want
