If we had an awards ceremony based on the calendar year, not the season who takes out the club awards?

Young Player of the Year: James Justin

Most Improved: James Justin

Goal of the Year: Vardy Man City away 2nd goal

Team performance of the year: Spurs (a) 2-0 win

Signing of the Year: Fofana - anyone who says Bennett should get an instant ban.

Moment of the year: Vardy 100th PL goal

Best FT thread: Vardyism a new religion

Feel free to add your thoughts and new awards.

Player of the Year: Jamie Vardy

Young Player of the Year: Barnes or Justin, honestly can't decide

Most Improved: mIght be biased, but I'd go Luke Thomas. Not played a senior game at any level 6 months ago, now look comfortable at the top level.

Goal of the Year: easy to forget it was 2020, but Hamza Choudhury v Newcastle

Team performance of the year: Man City 5-2. I think the formation in that game got into Rodgers head in future games, but that one match it worked perfectly and everyone read the script and did exactly what was asked.

Signing of the Year: Castagne has been great, but Forfana was a great find, and at 19 looks like he'll only improve.

Moment of the year: Vardy joining the 100 club.

Best FT thread: not a clue

How about the worst of 2020:

Performance - Bournemouth (1-4), Fulham (0-2)

Player - Ryan Bennett, Gray

Decision by BR - defensive tactics at the start of the second half v Bournemouth, deciding to bring Gray on against Palace last week, playing our reserve team against the latter

Moment - realising that we had played the last match, home against Villa, before the pandemic lockdown and wondering when football would return

VAR decision in our matches - Madders' 'offside' goals against the Spuds

Football commentator - Ian Stringer

Red card - Cags against Bournemouth, needless kick out at the Bournemouth player which probably was the key moment in our Champions League place slipping away

Absence - Ricardo. Really missed him last season, and it would be great to have him back as soon as

Haircut - Fofana's short-term blonde

Vardy moment - obviously very few. but the penalty against Wolves is probably the only one I can think of

Transfer - Ryan Bennett, what was Brendan thinking of loaning someone who Wolves did not want

Sorry don't agree with the team at Palace being the worst decision by Rodgers. It was the right thing to do given the fitness of some players and the quick turn around. His worst decision was becoming obsessed with 3 at the back after Man City and playing it against West Ham, Villa, Fulham, Sheff Utd etc

I don't think I can disagree with any of this.

Player of the year: Vardy easily. 34 soon and he is still collecting Ws.

Young player of the year: James Justin

Most improved: James Justin. This boy is sensational considering the leap be made from League One straight to top 6 PL football and Europa League.

Goal of the year: Maddison v Man City is the easy choice.

Team performance of the year: Given we were rubbish for first part of 2020 I'd say Spurs away.

Signing of the year: Wesley Fofana

Moment of the year: Vardy entering PL100 club

I see what you're trying to do but its a bit unfair to sarcastic make this suggestion about our ageing title winning captain.

It's not a category here, but you can't have a "best of" thread without talking about that drag back by Ünder.

I gasped as I watched it.
