Thought Ukraine for large spells were superb

Ukraine always seem to be greater than the sum of their parts, which is rare in international football. I feel like Wales is another team that fits that category. Their match on Sunday should be great. Not looking forward to facing either of them in the group stages. I would have much preferred Scotland lol

I've batted off a lot of compliments about Wales in here recently because we are pretty poor at the moment and we're often hideous to watch.

But I'd definitely agree that both Coleman and Page (not Giggs tbh) have had us playing beyond the sum of our parts. They've been sensible, kept us to the basics, built on organisation and simplicity and not taken too many risks.

Everyone plays for the badge, everyone's pulling in the same direction and everyone works for each other.

We're pretty garbage on paper, as much as Ramsey and Bale have both been absolutely world class talents in their prime they're both far from that now.

But we definitely rise above it.

More fun to watch in tournaments than England too. I've mostly supported Wales in recent international tournaments.

Denmark won :o

Went 1-0 down and won 2-1.

They're a pretty good side under Hjulmand, who has capitalised on Hareide's impressive tenure. Results like these will give them belief that they could go deep at the WC.

This may sound mental but Denmark could actually be a good outside bet for the World Cup. A solid, experienced squad, they’ll have Eriksen firing in addition to what they had at the euro’s. There aren’t really any outstanding European sides currently. Brazil and Argentina won’t have a better chance to win the World Cup either compared to recent times.

Who we supporting in this? I always want the British teams to get through but Ukraine is a special case.

They are. And Ward has been benched so there is no club loyalty issue. I think I'm happy whoever wins tbh.

No idea. Pretty sure they’d have sold it out

Wales players would rather play in a smaller ground where the fans albeit less of them are nearer and more vocal.

Not bothered. And I like it that way as its nice not to care about the result but just want a good game.

Why is a game of this magnitude not played at Millennium Stadium?

Finners probably knows the answer but I think its about maintaining the atmosphere thats helped them get this far.

Fair enough - always thought Millennium Stadium can hell with a great atmosphere anyway.

Probably Ukraine for me but as others said I dont mind.

I do like the thought of Kiefer Moore scoring 5 headed goals in the world cup group stage to outsource Mbappe, Ronaldo and Messi though.
