All over to Wales now to try to become the most hated team in the world.

Booing seems a bit classless really in context.

And its not like the Scots were robbed or anything or even that Scotland let themselves down. This Ukraine side just obviously better all round the park.

Their players play for some top clubs around Europe's big leagues. Scotland have a couple of decent full backs and a lot of dross.

I thought Andy Robertson, who is thought of as a top class player, was mostly outmuscled, outfought and outclassed this evening.

Why's Clarke shoehorning mcsauce and that in positions they don't play in, these aren't world class footballers. If he actually played people in their positions they probably wouldn't be all over the place

Mctominay and Tierney at right and left CB with a sweeper type between them has been one of the best things he's done. We've been settled and doing relatively well with those two there. Take one out and it all falls apart though.

Hard agree.

Ukraine are ranked higher by FIFA by some distance and players like Yarmolenko and Zinchenko would improve most national teams. Just a better all round side.

As said, I think whoever wins on Sunday has a superb chance of going through the group stage with England in Qatar.

They wouldn’t improve any national team in the top 10 in the world

Most national teams aren't in the top 10.

Would they improve most of the teams who don't go into the World Cup as group seeds? Yes, absolutely.

The World Cup just won't be the same without Scotland.

We’ve been saying this since 1998 though

Ok, if that’s how you’re being they won’t improve any side that has a serious chance of winning any tournament. They’re average players who stand out in an average team because they’re their best players. Yarmalenko struggles to get in the West Ham side. Granted they’d walk into most of the Minnows teams like Wales and Scotland but that doesn’t say very much does it.

Sleeping giant.

The Nottingham Forest of world football. No doubt they'll want everyone to pretend that the next World Cup will be enriched by their presence should they qualify, ignoring the fact they'll be out after a defeat to Japan and a hard fought draw with Burkina Faso.

I don't think anyone thinks they have a serious chance of winning the tournament. Possible they get out of the group should they beat Wales on Sunday, the game against USA will be critical, but they won't go further than the last 16.

They definitely have enough to qualify though, which is an achievement in itself given they haven't played together as a team in six months.

Thought Ukraine for large spells were superb

They're not a bad side.

I think they probably go to Cardiff as underdogs, but only just.
