That one really grew on me in time. Probably helped how successful that season was. Wasn't that the year the GK kit was so bad Kasper refused to wear it? Bizarre that that's a thing that actually happened

It's strange. I don't hate it, but at the same time looking at the mini-reveal with the date on, I'm sat here thinking it's just about the worst mock-up they can do with that set of colours, and a white sponsor......

What age do you think you'd have to drop to before you'd struggle to get a candidate who could have designed a better shirt than this? My 5 year old loves colouring in templates of football kits and done some stonkers so I'm honestly thinking you'd be looking at maybe 2 or 3. 2 or 3 years of age. I really hope whoever designed this is reading this, you've done worse than a toddler. You might as well have shit yourself that day and cried for an hour because you couldn't have any crisps.

It should bl**dy design itself... you just get an addidas template and colour it in using one of our traditional away colours....

To be fair not saying all puma kits were good. I just havent liked any adidas ones enough (since we went with them)  to spend my cash on.   I think it will always be tough to please everyone so to each their own.

I am genuinely shocked at the design and vetting process at Adidas. Besides the choice of colors which lets be honest we're always going to be divided on as its such a personal thing it's the use and execution of it. I'm sure I'm not the only FT member who is a professional designer during the day but one of the first things we learn at school is the color theory. I'll cut to the chase the mid gray combined with the hot pink is fine as a block but having the gray as the foundation and the signature details like the 3 stripes and our club badge in hot pink does'nt work they look washed out as some have already pointed out. This is a school boy error and something that could easily be spotted in a prototype. These types of details should be tested not just for the human eye but in print and for tv broadcast. By darkening the gray color to a charcoal the contrast would be increased and the details much more legible. it's kinda embarrassing for something like this to be publicly released and to receive negative feedback some of it very obvious. I don't know any designers at Adidas anymore as I'd love to know what their process is but I'd like to think its well thought out. Maybe some stinkers escape the tank from time to time? We're not the only ones plenty other clubs release awful kits every season. Sad we've wasted a good opportunity for a nice 3rd kit. Maybe our board could put some pressure on Adidas to improve it but if they've already gone into production I doubt anything will happen. In future LCFC please have a representative for the fans in these high level discussions. After all its the fans that are your end user and buy the kits!

Kasper did wear the blue gk though?Quite a memorable outing. Probably why he hates it mind.

 

I thought it was great that he wore the away kit so much that season tbf.

Yeah, the grey is even more similar in shade to the home kit than the grey and orange one we had a few years ago - surprised the club didn't take the similarity into consideration with UEFA being stricter about kit clashes because of colour-blindness now

Thats the thing, i am not a fan but have a feeling it might look  better in person. Might grab one for my little daughter as she loves pink.

 

The problem is i cant seem them in person due to being over here. Sigh.  Gamble!

Can't stand adidas either. I never understood the clamour for adidas when we were with Puma. I know people were unhappy with the quality of Puma, I personally didn't mind them. Each to their own I guess. 

 

I quite like the plain/simple Nike designs...I know they are unpopular with our fans too. 

 

The Charlton 3rd kit is simply the best kit I have seen this season. I'd take Hummel right now
