But is Rodgers wrong to ask for new signings ?

if our model is to sell a piece of club silver every summer to make our nett spend 15/20m max then how long can that carry on without us being in a relegation scrap ?

recruitment has to be v v good to keep the side improving - you’ve almost got to find a player that is as good as anything you already have each summer (market value)

the plan was to sell a few players this summer to generate cash - but the failure shows that collecting average players won’t cut it because you can’t necessarily get your money in on them.

He is wrong to challenge the club when the owners are trying to look after the long term view. All it shows is Rodgers doesn’t give a **** about the club and would happily put it at risk.

Also it is clear he has been at the centre of ripping up all the work Pearson and Puel built in terms of behind the scenes and it is his man Congerton who oversaw the recruitment of the deadwood so by extension, yes that is his fault. He has been dining out off players signed by Puel and Pearson in the main.

All of that is correct. How many of his signings are playing tonight. He has messed the squad up. He likes to get silver medalists and polish them into turd.

Maybe because it had all changed? It's not necessarily poor communication. I get the disappointment but it's probably felt everywhere, board room to terraces (or sofa in my case)

Global communication these days and those who need to be kept in the loop are.

You miss the point. The communication might not have been a problem.

Exactly, the squad he inherited needed fine tuning, the only real stand out position needed was a right sided forward/winger. The depth needed by getting into Europe needed to be a key player or two to replace first 11 members or young punts to involve gradually. Instead he has gone down the overpaid, wrong age and not capable of breaking into the 11 with no prospect of doing so option.

From inheriting a side needing fine tuning/tweaking, it is now massively unbalanced, needing a huge rebuild and devoid of any confidence/mental strength.

How can anyone defend him?

I’m not missing any point, BR was tapping up players pre season, do you honestly think he would have been doing that without speaking to the owners.

The board and Top need to take a huge part of the blame here. Backing a sinking ship of the manger and not reinforcing in the transfer market is a recipe for disaster.

Totally agree, who can you see us beating atm?

Poor style of play. Awful defending. 0 intensity. Fitness looks way off. No creativity.

None of that is to do with the transfer policy.

Think Brendan has paid Fletcher and Jermaine to say nice things about him. Awful commentary, so out of touch with the way things actually are at Leicester and amongst the fans at the moment.
