We cannot fail against Villa. The PC today will be very interesting. Wait for the ‘I am here until I am told otherwise’ comment. I reckon Ric Flair will get two barrels as will FT. 3 points is needed against Villa because we aren't getting anything from Spurs.

Kane will probably score 9 goals himself. That could be a very dangerous game, he needs to be gone by spurs because that’s one team that absolutely loves to rip us apart. Could be a season defining defeat if we’re not careful, I’m talking beyond Southampton bad. 1
Matt Posted 8 September 2022 Posted 8 September 2022 (edited) Brighton confirm Potter won’t be taking today press conference. Hopefully we announce the same thing regarding Rodgers and ours. If not the media have got to ask seriously hard questions on him and jump on any daft or stupid answer he gives. Edited 8 September 2022 by Matt 1 1

daddylonglegs Posted 8 September 2022 Posted 8 September 2022 Interesting that the normal radio Leicester bloke won’t be there after the programme they put out on Monday night 😂 Something tells me they thought Rodgers was a goner!

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 8 September 2022 Posted 8 September 2022 Hi folks, anybody know what time the Press Conference is? Take it that it’s on SSN?

Unfortunately I still think he survives until they turn us over. Then the KP is gonna really turn nasty. Think a defeat to them under the lights on a Monday night and Top will be shocked at how vile the abuse levels aimed at the manager will be.

Yep, he's here until at least after the Villa game. I genuinely don't know what else he has to do in order to get the sack at this stage.

NasPb Posted 8 September 2022 Posted 8 September 2022 Just wish some bloody journalists would absolutely grill him like they tried to with nigel. Bloody soft skinned fools, they don't have cojones to do it 3
Popular Post gerblod Posted 8 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 8 September 2022 It's a more than interesting comparison that Chelsea can act swiftly to remove Tuchel when there's merely a hint that results and manager-player relations are going south. We know that, had our executive acted as swiftly as Chelsea's, that the slow grind of watching Rodgers gradually alienate players and fans would have been over by now. The abysmal recruitment of summer '21-'22 should also have meant a quick culling of all those who had failed to act to reinforce the defence prior to Fofana's injury. We all know that a figure such as Potter or Frank would have radically improved City's standing. But no one acted. We are where we are because Rodgers cannot accept his limitations; that the decision makers didn't make decisions when they were crying out to be made. This is where ego leads. People set out to impress each other, rather than to expose any weaknesses. Rodgers gets himself a massive 'package' and the board congratulate each other that they've caught a 'name'....from a backwater league. Instead of doing the businesslike thing of stating he prove himself before entering into a long-term, highly paid contract they splurge the largesse. I believe in giving managers time to establish themselves. It used to be the norm. But the selection process has to be keen and patience only shown at the beginning. There's no room for patience now. City keep missing the boat. Before any other vanity project the team must be repaired. A 40k stadium needs motivated fans to fill it. A £100m training ground needs committed players. 7 1

I doubt it will be after this. The vast majority of match day fans have been happy to indulge in whatever has been served up for the past 10 years and will continue to do so.

Yeah I agree, the talk of it becoming totally toxic I think are far-fetched.
GingerrrFox Posted 8 September 2022 Posted 8 September 2022 Imagine if he just went full narcissist and went off on a rant about the club, the fans, the players and then said “Big Brendy doesn’t deserve this, Big Brendy shouldn’t be questioned by mere mortals, **** this I’m off, screw you Midland bastards”. Mic drop. Resignation in. 4
