Although he could resign for a smaller pay off.Will he? Rodgers's business brain will tell him to gain the maximum severance pay he can. If we do sack him , this summer's transfer fund is certainly gone so any new manager will have to work with what he has got.

You’d think with the level of problems we have in this key area that he’d be making time or he’d be asking players to come in for extra work. It's hardly surprising he can't motivate the players or the fans when he says things like "“When I came into here, this was a team just happy to stay in the league. I've worked with managers who have brought teams in early to walk through set pieces, attacking and defending setup, on the day of a game. At the moment it's our biggest issue, and I'd say we're pretty good at performing his mind numbing in possession style, so what exactly is it that's taking precedence over our glaring weakness that we aren't dedicating time to it in training? 6

Throwing away 4th position the way we did twice was criminal. The FA Cup was unreal... but its only a 6 game run, that was held in empty stadia. Trusting him with any kind of rebuild budget will be disastrous.
