I've been saying it for years and it's largely as predicted.

I guess you didn't notice which bit of your quote I highlighted...lol

I wouldn't say the game is trying to be more Americanised. It's just going the way society is nowadays, where people have less and less attention span and want sport to be more of a social media consumable thing in smaller chunks.

And stopping the clock when the ball goes out of play won't increase time wasting, it'll kill it. Because you can't waste time in that format. You may be able to break up any rhythm by constantly putting it out of play, and extend the overall time taken, which I can't see the TV companies getting behind as they like the length of things to be a known quantity.

The Telekom Cup in Germany used to be two 30 mins halves. I remember randomly turning up for Mainz v Bayern as I was in Mainz at the time and being very confused.

Think they may have changed it to one 45 min match after that.

Yeah they commonly run those rules in the German pre season tournaments including their own intermittent League Cup

I can't be the only one who's against every single one of these?

You're not...

Stop the clock for injuries and subs, not every time the ball is dead. I would agree with that. Probably the most annoying thing in football when you are losing.

Unlimited subs lol it's been ridiculous having 5.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but wow.

Sky still going with their 'Big 6' narrative though?

Ooh look for first time ever we have lower odds than spurs and arsenal at last we've been established much bigger than spurs.

Got to say having smaller odds for arsenal compared Everton is surprising. Didnt Everton finish higher last year... better quality manager too?

Everton's wingers could be Gray, Townsend, Bernard and Iwobi this season, guaranteed 4 goals and 3 assists between them.

Gray and Townsend as back up wingers for a combined 1.5m is fine. I mean I'd be hugely underwhelmed but it's OK

Probably against us, well Bernard will.

I'm not having that Benitez has been asked who he wants and he's said Gray and Townsend. Already have a shit winger in Iwobi.

He did play for Benitez at Newcastle.

Would they really be back-up wingers as has been suggested? They aren't behind top quality there.
