Got to be really because fans want to plan away trips if they can once the draw is done (CL). The first game is less than 3 weeks away.

 

I would imagine they say Matchday 1 and 2 home fans only and they will reassess. Or they just say home fans only for the whole group stage.

On the Man U website it says there is no decision to be made before the 1st September. Pretty ridiculous as clubs will have potentially less than 2 weeks to organise away travel. It can only mean that away fans are not going to be attending for at least Matchday 1 and 2 (which coincides with the international break away fan ban which is until at least October).
