That squad truly excites me about the future. I could see any one of them cracking the first team at some point (some more likely than others, to be sure.)

And the Pennant brothers on the bench: I'd absolutely be thrilled to see brothers from the academy one day playing together in the Premier League. I am too lazy to check how often it has happened before.

we have throw ins level with their penalty area & throw it back to the centre half on the halfway line who then usually passes it back to the keeper. Sound familiar, it absolutely drives me up the wall.

Does me too, was especially hard to watch this happen time after time on Saturday, it’s just the easy option so a worry we’re asking the kids to take that too.

Rodgers talks about having a strong track record at bringing young players through and he's certainly better than some managers, but if this crop of youngsters are as promising as we think they are then I wonder what needs to happen for him to give 1 or 2 a chance, never mind several.

It's very unlikely that a PL manager does bring through several at any one time so whatever we say about a lot of these going on to play for us regularly is highly unlikely but I'm even trying to think of the situation where Rodgers will play them. He's never looked to try academy players in Europe and the only ones he's played more than briefly who weren't already established is Luke Thomas and Dewsbury-Hall, who's nearly 24.

When you have 25 senior players then it's either they are so exceptional at U23 level that you cannot ignore them or there's an injury crisis (right up our alley) that leaves you little choice. We've had a lot of those but it's not really seen this current crop get a chance yet.

I'd like to see either Braybrooke and/or Wanya Marca get a chance in the PL before the season is finished, it's not unreasonable to do so given all we are playing for is place money and developing 1 or 2 academy players in an area where he's claiming KDH and Tielemans can't have a rest isn't going to be detrimental to where we finish.

Otherwise I don't see what better opportunity any academy player is going to get in the next year if right now isn't a genuine possibility to blood 1 or 2.

Maybe the last 2/3 games you might get them in the squad. But the prize money is so crucial these days I think this is what part of his reluctance is.

And I totally get that but then when is the right platform to bring 1 or 2 through? We may well have no European football next season, which is often a better opportunity to rotate even though Rodgers hasn't done that with us with the academy and unless there's a huge injury crisis again which even that hasn't yielded any get proper opportunities bar Thomas in the time Rodgers has been here. He claims he's got a strong track record at bringing academy players through therefore he needs to find the balance.

1 or 2 getting a handful of games where we will finish anywhere between 8th or 13th/14th is that balance, yes there's money at stake but there's always that and I don't think 1 or 2 would make us any worse than we currently are in the league.

I imagine a lot of these players will feature in pre season and get loans next year. It’s how we seem to do it at the minute. I’d get them 10/15 minutes off the bench towards the end of the season but maybe that’s why my alarm is set for 4:50am for work lol

....Rodgers spoke about supporters travelling around the country, and he is reluctant to short change them by putting out an inferior team!!!

With the performances that we are putting out, he could have incorporated a few in our home games recently, at least that might have kept some supporters awake.
