What is your impression of Thanawat? His national team duties have kept him from getting a run of games...but a decision needs to be made on him this summer.

I was impressed by him in pre-season against Burton

I think there was a rumour about a possible loan in the summer but then he picked up an ankle injury against Wycombe

I do think he is decent, but yeah a decision needs to be made about him in the summer, I don't think he will make it with us unfortunately

I can see him going to OHL next year (assuming Brys gives him a game)

I can see this happening, if not a loan then a permanent deal

I think King Power will want to keep him in the "system"

Will pick up plenty of caps for Thailand, already has 9

Been here since November/December from what I can gather. He's in charge of the entire academy operation of player development from U9 - U18 and then transitioning U23's in to the 1st team so the conveyor belt and clear pathway we've been desperate to see improve and certainly quicken does seem to now be properly in place. There aren't many better than McGuinness at this.

No surprise younger players being moved into the U23 quicker already!

An news on an appointment for the role of loans manager?

Not heard anything, nor any announcement on a permanent U23 Head Coach. Petty is still interim.

The key is getting the likes of Maswanhise, Wanya Marca, Nelson, Brunt and a few others loans next season. Another season of U23's for them won't really add anything to their game they haven't already got.

Braybrooke I really think could be one we look to keep around the 1st team and Alves still at 16 is unlikely to be going on loan next season. Popov having only just come in to the U23's might not do him any harm being U23's and regularly training with our 1st team next season.

Wormleighton would be an interesting loan option for a good League One or even Championship team next season, he looks so efficient at everything and I'm most convinced of all the talented youngsters we have, that he will make it as there's less complexity to his game. Good going forward, good tackler, strong mentality and style of play.

I agree, him and I really like wanya Marcel too are the ones for me at the moment! I hope we move on players like Daley Campbell and leshabala as they won’t make our first team now. Shame with leshabala as he looked decent in Rogers first pre season and they kind of lost his way despite his debut last season.

He looked so happy! Based on the past couple of matches, clearly a guy who really cares and wants to make the most of every opportunity

...are you watching Patson!!!

Popov is a player who seeks to trouble the backline, closes down well and looks to lead the players supporting him.

We have looked to find a Vardy replacement and after watching Sunday's debacle he would have been a more effective player up front, and has the ability to lead the line.

You can see from his body movements and the way he plays, that he is more than capable  for a place, at least on the bench, for the first team.

It seems that a few of the players tonight were looking to impress, and they certainly did that.

Could see Popov becoming an effective player on the FRINGE of the first team.

I wonder if playing alves centre mid is a ploy to help his physicality/fitness and defensive side? Different types of strength needed for the central role etc? Different decision making process too as he can dribble less centrally?

I suspect so yes, we know we have an elite talent on our hands.

Just as long that he doesn't pop off to one of the so called big 4!!

...that could be  but just watching him lately  it seems his flair has been substituted for workrate!!!

He deserves the  opportunity to play at the highest level that he is deemed capable of doing. The only problem that I see is that he has been brought forward too quickly. I  want his flair to be second nature, something that comes naturally, something that is synonymous with what comes with him on the pitch.

We can't look to workmanlike performances rubber stamping his appearances.

I wonder if it's with the idea of developing him into a Foden type of player rather than a Grealish or Maddison type. It stands to reason that you would want a player with such a high level of raw ability to be effective in different areas of the park, playing in different positions.

Flair is always nature it's not something you can teach.

Watch you can teach is work rate, and decision making, which is what he learning now.

The best players have both elements.

The way he moves with the ball and goes by people reminds me of a young Grealish.
