Hopefully there will be some interest in a loan for him in January (as long as it is a team that will actually play him)

I agree but the nature of the beast is you have to take whatever chances you get. He looked good in pre-season and when he came on vs Norwich he was aggressive and helped us win. His performances vs Legia and Brighton though have been quite disappointing and you can tell he's desperate to make an impression which I'm confident he will do.

  You get the impression that he is given instruction to do a specific job when he comes on and it does not give him the licence to play in his favoured position.

  Unless he is allowed pitch time in this team then we are stifling his progression.  I would rather see him go elsewhere and follow his career than have to sit on the bench (with the mindset of being back in the U23).

He, along with other academy players would benefit from us being able to make 5 subs each game. I'm convinced he'd get a fair bit of gametime if so.

The reality is we have Tielemans and Soumare plus Ndidi coming back who are all ahead of him in the pecking order so his game time will be limited other than el and league cup. In games when we are losing we would generally make attacking substitutions and when we are winning we would most likely bring Hamza on than KDH as he's more defensive minded. I would like to see him get more game time but Tielemans and Soumare seems the preferred choice right now and then Ndidi will come back in when he's fit

As far as KDH goes; its all there and he definitely wants it but not every 'once upon a time' ends in 'lived happily ever after'

 

We've already seen a very good player in Praet moved on as opportunities were limited.

Praet has been allowed to leave in order for us to give KDH a go. Let's hope we allow him at least another 10-15 games this season to show his ability.

Agreed, but KDH has had precious little involvement in a time where Ndidi has been injured so Soumare used there. Seems to mean he'd have to play in place of Tielemans or Maddison (?). Looks pretty tough for him (depending on system) when Ndidi is back (although I reckon we might even see Ndidi at centre back because all ours are dross).

Thailand U23 played out a 0-0 draw with Malaysia on Sunday, with Suengchitthawon as captain.

 

Thailand U23 have qualified for the 2022 AFC U23 Asian Cup which will be played 1st to 19th June 2022

Do you know anything more about Ben Nelson, I know he was injured recently he looked a great prospect at his age, going to Europe on a trip at 16 and pre season.

KDH seems destined for cup games. I’m not sure how much development time he’ll get tbh. I’m not sure how much time we can give him instead of Maddison or Tielemans with our league form is this poor.

Hugely rated by the club. Won't take much progression and/or injuries for him to be in the match day squad in the first team in the next year.

Nelson had a good game for the u23's on Monday and has been training with the first team since pre-season (when not injured)

Concerning KDH you have to grab your opportunities, he's two starts against Brighton and Legia weren't great, and unfortunately for him, he's competing in an area of our squad which is probably the strongest.

Still worth many more opportunities, 5 subs in games would help him in that regard. Sounare has been crap in some games as well but is getting loads of chances. Hopefully KDH gets a cameo at least on Thursday.
