Possibly, but went through all the steps and said it was for someone else and gave correct age. It also asked if I wanted it linked to my own account, which I did. Will try again 👍

It also seems you need the NHS app to get a qr code not the covid track and trace. And it keeps a history linked to your NHS number of all tests submitted.
moore_94 Posted 27 July 2021 Posted 27 July 2021 Looks like we could be playing Man Citys 2nd string...

Print it out and stick in your pocket. Check the valid to date on your COVID passport before you print it out as mine says valid to 29 thJuly but it will renew on the 30th. The 'valid to' date jumps forward every time you log in 1

StanSP Posted 27 July 2021 Posted 27 July 2021 A great chance to add more silverware if they're going to have a seriously weakened squad.

Dan Posted 28 July 2021 Posted 28 July 2021 We can definitely win this. We should go for it as well - play a real first choice team.

adejo92 Posted 28 July 2021 Posted 28 July 2021 (edited) Just out of curiosity, what are peoples thoughts on Covid and the final in terms of risk / reward. I really want to go however I had covid back around Christmas and my daughter (now 1) ended up quite ill and then there's obviously the worry of spreading it through the rest of your family. I've had both jabs now, but am aware it can still be spread. As much as I want to go, is it worth the risk as opposed to watching it at home without that worry? Just interested from peoples views or any one with any idea how the England matches at Wembley or the FA Cup final effected them with Covid? I've heard people say the biggest risk is the drinking in pubs beforehand? Edited 28 July 2021 by adejo92

I've heard people say the biggest risk is the drinking in pubs beforehand? It is certainly a risk, everything has a risk. Just going to the local shop is a risk. However, at a game of this magnitude there are many factors that come into play. The safest way is to drive yourself down, get to the ground early to avoid crowds, wear a mask at all times and avoid busy times in the concourse. The more you add to it, the higher the risk (e.g. pre match pub, using public transport, mingling in a busy concourse, not wearing a mask etc.). Ultimately, I cannot make your decision for you. Personally, I have been lucky that I have not had COVID since February 2020 and I have been out and about and mixed (being as sensible as possible). I have zero fear of becoming ill going to a match like this (am double jabbed since yesterday as well). I went to the FA Cup final and the England vs Germany match but both were at reduced crowds. The only place that caused any concern was the queuing on the way back to the tube after the EURO match but as I said above, I do not fear catching COVID as I feel confident that I am well protected (jab, good health etc.). The other thing to consider is that at this point, 70% of adults have been double vaccinated. So in theory, only 3 or 4 people out of every 10 that you come across will still be unprotected and thus pose a high risk of transmission to you. On the other hand you have been vaccinated so have your own protection. As you say, the only concern is the spread. So if you can reduce public interaction (no pub, no public transport etc.), you should be at absolute minimum risk but if you can put up with watching it at home that risk is next to zero. If you feel safer to wait a few more months then do so, it depends how desperate you are to see Leicester at Wembley or whether you are OK with waiting and just getting back to the KP or some PL/EL away games part way through the season. 1 1

I've heard people say the biggest risk is the drinking in pubs beforehand? I understand your situation, and it’s a difficult decision. Purely because of the kids not being protected and I’ve got a 1 year old that I’d rather not pass it onto. My eldest is a very big Leicester supporter, and after watching the Euros I’m being asked every hour if we can go to Wembley - but I think I’m ultimately going to say no, we’re not going. Which kinda irritates me that we’re losing the opportunity to go and make memories, especially because I want to go too, but I’m sure there will be other chances to go when things stabilise. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have the devil on my shoulder telling me “he’ll probably bring it home from school in September - so get on with it and book tickets and coach”. But knowing you’re responsible if something bad happens from going to a game you could watch on the telly is very different to following the legal obligation of sending the kids to school to get an education. I’m taking him Villarreal which will suffice for now. Front row so less chance of being crammed in and we can get there without public transport. Edited 28 July 2021 by phoneticerror 1

I’ve been wary throughout and followed guidelines pretty much to the letter I went to the England semi final and it was absolute chaos outside and inside the ground with no social distancing or masks. I found it a bit uncomfortable for a while but soon got on with things. The tube wasn’t too bad with most wearing a mask. considering how tightly packed queues were at the Wembley bars I’m surprised it didn’t cause more of a spike. I’m double jabbed and had no issues since going 2

If people knew accurately where the biggest risks were (and we can all best guess but no one can prove), then people could be more comfortable about reducing their personal risk attending these events. 1

Spot on. Instincts tell me it’s concourse, public transport, pubs and big crowds getting into the event that caused the Euros spike. In reality, when inside an outdoor stadium and in your seat, you’d probably have to be seated directly next to or within 2 seats max of an infected person. For Wembley, I’d need the coach and I think that’s the biggest risk factor. Edited 28 July 2021 by phoneticerror
stretch1965 Posted 28 July 2021 Posted 28 July 2021 Looks like we might be getting there by fox travel, can anyone tell me if a few tinnies are allowed on the bus or is it a big no no? 1

Don't think drinks are allowed. Why not go with Ausden Clark? I am doing that and cheaper. 1

Not allowed no. The driver we had for the FA Cup final however said he was OK with a couple of drinks though as long as you were sensible and placed empties into the bin bags. So in general it is against the law I believe but you may get lucky that a driver allows it. 1
