My lad is mad on footy and just bought this "free" album home....there are 678 stickers at £1 a packet.I think it's 5 in a packet, which would be £135 if he got all of them different. He's got Youri so we'll just leave it at that!

I got my lad the Euro 2016 album and I reckon it cost about £350-400 to compete it.

When he had a couple of dozen left to get and his mates had no swaps he needed, I ended up ordering them individually off e-bay. Some of the rare shiny's cost £10 each!

Absolute rip off really but once you start, you gotta finish it really.

I used to collect the Merlin Premier League sticker albums (mid 90s) when I was a kid, I think a pack of 6 then was 15p.

I'm still fuming that I only needed Walter Zenga to complete my Italia 90 album

Fume no longer Tom. For a measly £5.01, you can move on.

I’d imagine if you collected the full set and kept it in pristine condition (essential) it could become a collectors item in the future and would probably be worth paying for

I thought about selling my complete Mexico 86 album a few years ago Col.

It's in good condition and I figured it must be worth a few quid. Went on e-Bay to see if there were any others and there were a few on there for sale.

They went for about £30 lol

Yeah stuff like this sells for piss all usually, because there's so many out there widely available. Give it another 30 years and they might be worth something.

Weirdly enough had a dream about this last night, 35p for a pack of 7 in the nineties.

Used to order boxes online and then extra for any missing individuals.

Probably cost over £90 but peanuts compared to today.

One of the World Cup sticker albums is worth thousands. I think it's 1970.

There was some bloke on radio a few months back saying he'd sold his complete book for about 10k.

96/97 they were 25p a pack.

I used to buy one or two packs with my dinner money every day. Think they were either 30p or 35p a pack and this would have been 2002/2003/2004 time. Football fans swapping stickers in school. Soon got banned.

I remember my mum taking me and my sister to Filbert Street in about 97? I would only have been 7 at the time but they had a "swap shop" roadshow on. How did they work? Were you guaranteed to get a swap with what they bought or did you have to give up all your shiny spares to get Steve Ogrizovic?

You can buy them off the website for like 28p per sticker 😳

I collected this year's PL Sticker book with my lad.

First shiny he opens is Crystal Palace. So currently he's Tielemans mad(before the fa cup final lol) Leicester... Crystal Palace get a mention every now and then 😂 he also calls wolves the triangle eyes team

I also got last season’s premier league one to do with my lad. Use the packs as reward for good behaviour / helping out around the house / home work completions etc

hes 5 nearly 6 and his football knowledge has hugely improved due to collecting stickers.

Won’t complete it though. I’ve not even got 1/3 the stickers but the last few packs I got I think out of 20 stickers we only needed 3 or 4. Not a great ratio
