Still need another pure winger.  Desperately.  You have to have some flexibility in formation and right now we're painfully thin on the flanks, especially the right.  And Barnes is coming off a serious knee injury - you can't just assume he'll be 100% good to go either.

Keep calm. Rudders has this in the bag

Or a fluent forward 3 out of Daka/ Vardy/ Barnes/ Nacho

Reporting this post for obscene content. That is just filthy. I can’t wait.

Why is everyone ejaculating over a guy who has good numbers in the Austrian league?  Slimani had decent numbers in the Portugese league and Musa had decent numbers in the Russian league.  It doesn't mean it translates to the Premier league.

Did you watch him absolutely brutalize van Dijk in the CL?

This is incredible. Daka was on my "fantasy" wishlist for a long time, and then I took him off because it was too unrealistic, I was sure he'd sign for another, bigger club. We are ****ing massive

Agreed. Rodgers had Sterling, Sturridge and Suarez at Liverpool didn't he. He obviously prefers this style with the right players available.

And right after that Klopp had Firmino, Mane, and Salah. All interchangeable and multi talented. I was hoping that Rodgers would be pushing for exactly this type of attacker since the day he started here. Exactly the type of template that would allow the speed. pressing and attack of that type of system. Still curious about Madueke as he seems to follow the same type of template.

This thread is completely littered with answers to that ridiculous question and full of refutations to those awful comparisons.

We'll get a few, I've been doing my bit!! But most people are Man U, Liverpool, or Chelsea, and really don't change. But having Patson here would help.

Also, it's a really small country, only 16m people, and while smartphones are becoming more accessible, the internet is still far out of the reach of most. Many people get free facebook through MTN (I do!), but beyond that people don't stray too far online typically.

A Zambian football expert, wow! Sometimes I love FT.

How do you think he would fit in? Does he have any English language? my brief look at wiki suggests he might, and it would be a big help with settling in.

Our team is looking awesome next year if we can keep everyone fit

Barnes       Vardy.     Daka

tilemans.  Ndidi/soumare.  Maddison/kdh

Justin/Thomas soyuncu/Evans/fofana Ricardo/castagne

schmeical

if we get goesens and another CB I struggle to see many other first 11s being better than ours other than Liverpool, man c, chealsea maybe

really excited for the new season

Replace Maddison with iheanacho as a number 10 and we'd be a major threat going forward.

Your guess is as good as anyone. Don't think any of us really know how this is all going to come together. Especially after the season Iheanacho has had.

sure 68 in 125 is less impressive. however its not like i was quoting half a seasons worth of stats. thats a whole season. however, his stats last season were elite also, with 24 in 31. counting the games he played when he was in his teens as evidence of his ability seems a bit disingenuous, especially as with age he has become consistently outstanding. of course there is risk. there is always risk with any signing, especially one from a weaker league, but there is definitely less risk with this one than with most

Seriously. A goal better than 1 every 2nd game is not impressive.  Not so you see as impressive? The Pedigree from this club is proven with the guys gone before him so why wouldn't we expect similar results for Patson.

https://zambianfootball.co.zm/game-is-the-reason-why-patson-daka-settled-for-leicester-city/zfadmin/

Zambian forward Patson Daka,21 have opted to join English Premier League side Leicester City because they guarantee him game time, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.

According to the ZamFoot Crew sources, Daka’s handlers held talks with a host of English teams including West Ham and Liverpool about a possible deal but it was Leicester who offered the much-needed game time.

“Yes, talks with several various clubs which have been mentioned were held but his handlers made it clear that he was only to join a club which was going to offer him game time,” a ZamFoot Crew source said.

“For instance one of the big clubs held talks with his people and both sides were honest with each other.

“The club were eager to sign him but didn’t see him as a first-choice center forward. They wanted him to start as a fringe player. But his management didn’t agree with that proposal.”

With that background, it was agreed that King Power Stadium was the right destination for the Kafue native.

If this is true can't see us signing Edouard  and maybe Jamie coming off the bench? Edouard not going to come as a bit player.

Even if we don't sign him it's obvious now why Rodgers was so bullish about staying. He knew he was getting the backing he wanted.

Excellent point, I think Top is pushing the boat out a bit here.

And given our momentum, profile, and the transfer prices being subdued this summer, I would argue this is the moment to invest a bit extra.

Nope. He was celebrating his Mum's birthday here the on Wednesday. So unless he arrived yesterday, he's still here.

English is the official language of Government. Unless you're in rural areas most people speak English well. That won't be a problem.
