A card and a Text Message, well they remembered me.

Actually my son's popping in later.

I got a card and a box of chocolates.

The card said “thanks for putting up with us” which is fair enough I suppose.

A box of cans of ridiculously hipster beers.

On a side note, because I'm disorganised, I had to buy a card for my own Dad from Morrisons. I have never seen a shitter selection - basically either 'comedy' efforts (but really lame ones) or over sentimental bollocks about 'all the things you do'.

I can't be the only person who's father has no discernible sense of humour doesn't really do emotions?

Eventually found one that just said 'Father's Day wishes', that'll have to do

That's more than I've got for Christmas or a birthday any time in the last 40 years!

I'll get a visit from my daughter later - during which I'll be handing over the presents that I bought her on my week's holiday.......I'm getting this all wrong somehow, aren't I? :D

A hand made tie recycled from when my son was 4 and made at school.  Very cute. He also made a beautiful handmade card and a few other drawings. He coloured an audi r8 and said he would get me one some day lol.

My daughter made about 5 home made cards lol.

Honestly, I cherish these more than anything else as well as the excitement on their faces. I know this won't last long (as they are 8 and 6) so it warms my heart and i am blessed.

To all dads out there , keep being great role models! Happy Father's day!

Nah not a fan of these parent days, you chose to have kids, you don't get to choose their respect, you have to earn it first (or at least not throw it in the proverbial bin).

Ba humbug lol since when did anyone mention anything about respect!

it’s about adding to your socks or cool boxers collection

In my experience it's a day for guilt tripping your kids into buying you things or throwing tantrums when it turns out they don't think you're the greatest person alive.  No thanks.

A voucher for a 5km kayak trip ending up at a craft brewery in East London

Brewery bit sounds ok.

Myself and two mates got the same…so could be a fun evening.

Sounds fun and creative.

Whereas if you'd received a voucher for a trip to a brewery followed by a kayak trip home, I'd have been suspecting attempted manslaughter.
