Good footballer but does'nt effect the game enough,and it's not easy to break in a midfeild of Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison (Fit and on form) 

 

However was definitely under used after his return from injury with Maddison struggling

This is where stats are not always the best, I’m not a Praet Fanboy but that’s a hell of a ball and it’s completely created that goal but there is no assist for it.

Ironically, given their likeness, he's a bit like Albrighton in that he works hard and is fairly consistent, but not quite got that star quality to really influence a game and force his way into a regular first XI spot. Kind of just 'there' in that middle-ground between starter and squad player. Given who he's competing against and the additions of KDH and Soumare its hard to see that changing any time soon, which for a player at his peak is bound to be frustrating.

 

Can't begrudge him a move at all if he's not in Rodgers' plans for the first team longer term. We should get a decent fee for him at least, which will cover the fee we paid for Soumare in full. I just hope - for his sake - that we don't string him along with empty promises of more gametime that doesn't get realised.

Exactly.

And as if he’d actually say ‘play me or lose me’ anyway.

(Also it’d be a pointless thing to say coz if they’re not going to play you they ain’t gonna mind if they lose you!)

I would always play maddison over praet (when fit and in good form), just praet is a great understudy and would allow us to see out games and be a bit more defensive when needed.

Never been sure what BR's problem with Praet is, but what is for sure is that he's a damn good technical footballer with great close quarter composure. 

 

One area where Praet is probably pissed, and rightly so, is that BR has a tendancy to push him out onto the wing. That's what triggered that argument on the touchline in that game.

 

Ps. Praet is a known quantity. KDH isn't.

I like Praet but I think he's possibly replaceable in his positioning in the squad. I don't see this notion that by going " 4-3-3 " that he suddenly has more of an influence here though as I'm not sure how he would make us more successful in that system? The system is slightly more defensive than the 4-2-3-1 so we'd be losing Maddisons goals and assists and where would they come from given we haven't signed a new right winger. Possibly Sowah? Or playing Daka wide right? Not sure I'm on board with any of that.

# Those 3 will Not be the only midfield we Play ...

# Injuries with The twist & turns they will  bring & brought in the last 2 seasons...

 

The Sun has only clickbait-journalism... I always wait until the First 2-3 games & Transfer-window closure....Then the squad will be what it is.

To be fair with regards to Praet, he might be another Kramaric. IE a really good player, but it's just not meant to be with us. But a blind man can see the guy has talent!

Still can't get my head around how he didn't get used during that final part of the season, especially given how much Maddison, Perez and a few others were struggling for form.

Don't care what anyone says, our best performances last season were with him in the team. That spell where we had Praet, Timmy and Youri all starting at the same time was the only real spell of sexy football we played. 

 

I swear some people literally have less of a memory than a gnat.

He was phenomenal in the beginning of the season. Timed so many runs to perfection.
