SecretPro Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 (edited) Anyone thinking we would sell Nacho after the window we are having is mental. Finally got to a place where we have the real depth needed to compete on all fronts and do something special and people want to see last seasons top goalscorer go? Erm no. Popular Post thebluefox Posted 13 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2021 I think this is sky finally realising Madders isn’t going Arsenal, and are now seeing who else they can sell for us. 2 3
An Away Move Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Selling Iheanacho might hasten N’didi’s departure. But I’d sell Iheanacho for the right money based on his first touch, which can badly let him and team down at certain moments. That said, overall he’s finally coming good, looking settled and happy. He could really come good this season, especially in partnership with Daka, which is my preferred attack over Vardy.

Guest Lcfc82 Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Can’t see there being anything in this. Sounds like sky just making stuff up so they’ve got something to talk about
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 13 August 2021 Popular Post Posted 13 August 2021 (edited) Unpopular opinion: if we need to sell him to afford a starting-quality RW, I'd do it. We're much better when we stick to a 1 striker / 3 "forward" system and Vardy with Daka should be all the central striker we need. Kelechi is a square peg in all of our better systems. He can't play on the wing, he can only play a very specific role at 10 and he's suspect as a lone 9. I would 10000% keep him and tell them to piss off if it had no impact on our ability to buy, we've really suffered with a lack of depth, especially in forward positions, and I don't actually want him to leave. But if its Kelechi vs Madueke, Berardi etc? I think we've got to be pragmatic and address the greater need. Edit: it's clearly a bullshit story btw Edited 13 August 2021 by Finnegan 6

coolhandfox Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Depend how much. I think it would have to be enough to bring in a Eduardo and give us money to strengthen else where. So it would have o be 40-50m if Eduardo is 20m I think it depend if Rodgers thinks last season was a purple pact or not. Just not a Jose type player for me.
TrentFox Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Tough call. His all round game isn’t good enough for Brendan, I think. But he does put the ball in the net. I’ve seen little in last 8 months to suggest Vardy is going to recapture that ability. And, if I take the blinkers off and speak honestly, I haven’t seen it from Daka yet in his few minutes with us, thus far. Good money would be hard to ignore, but so are Nacho’s goals.

Scotch Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 You know that when it's SSN who actually break a story that its either 100% made up BS or the buying club in question have leaked info for one reason or the other to a SSN reporter. If there was anything in it, it would have been leaked by an ACTUAL real life reporter elsewhere.
Haywood_6 Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Important we don't sell him. Simple as that. I don't think his all round game is great, but he knows how to find the onion bag and I think he'll be vital for us again this season.

Absolutely no one thinks Kel is part of our best eleven when everyone's fit. Maybe not yet, but let's be honest. Vardy probably has 1 good season left in him at the levels we know and love. Nobody knows how Daka is going to do. If Vardy's injury flairs up, and Daka struggles then most certainly Kel fits in to our best 11. Even with stupid money paid bringing in another striker now would a) be a struggle and b) be a bit late in the day if he were to become the main man Let's not forget we paid a reported £25million ish for Kel and last season he finally showed what he can actually do. Even taking away the premier league tax he's got to be worth more than double what we paid for him. Can't see Roma stumping up £50million+ for him This is surely the old "drop another name in to try and get the transfer we actually want done"
DezFox Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Don’t buy this, just a negotiating ploy to push through Tammy deal.
Staff Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 Remember when they wanted Mahrez? Probably offer us 10p the cnuts, feck em
matty98 Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 As much as I like him, I still get the impression that Rodgers isn't completely sold on him. Think we'd sell if we got a £40m+ offer.

Yes, but some on here pile onto any bandwagon that tenuously connects us to a supposed target and crazily believe the obscure crap. However if there is a link to one of our players dismiss it out of hand.

splinterdream Posted 13 August 2021 Posted 13 August 2021 At first when I read this I thought, maybe this could be a good thing, but then had a word with myself. A couple of season ago I defended nacho against his critics, I knew he was a good finisher and would come good given the chance, but then I changed my mind and conceded he was rubbish, but then he showed me I had mistakenly lost my faith....the guy can finish, and in the right set up he will be lethal. If we get a decent right winger, the combination of players we have should not be messed with, I think Rodgers is getting that balance just right. 2
