Think Laporte and Modric should both have gone.

Seen too many incidents in games where hands to the face doesn't get punished with a red card, which it should be as per the law of the game.

Just tuned in. Can someone explain why all the seats in the lower tiers are covered? Looks weird.

They’re doing a full renovation of the Bernabeu. This includes spurs style moveable pitch underneath. Unlike spurs which moves under the stand, the Real Madrid pitch will be stacked under that lower tier.

Again a ref that forgot his cards

It’s ridiculous really. Casemiro has committed two yellow card offences already yet still managed to stay out the book

Glad they weren't though. Silly handbags. I mean you full on deck someone you go but a bit of a finger near the face who cares.

Eye gouging obviously that's a bit different.

Ref's weak or bent. As it is a Madrid side probably the latter.

Just don't think he wants to use his cards. Just pretty casual in general. I don't mind it personally as long as he's consistent for both teams.

True - deep down I probably approve if I'm honest with myself.

I feel if you start letting players get away with stuff like that, it intends to get very messy and harder for the ref to control

Genuinely think people are being lead a bit by the commentary team.

Ref is having a good game. I'd much rather watch this than a guy blowing up constantly.

I understand why he is doing it, don’t want to see people banned from a final for silly fouls, but it’s a bit silly. Arguably VAR might have seen Laporte sent off earlier for raising his hands and slapping Modric, and Casemiro would have at least one yellow in basically any other game of football. I presume the ref will see some of it back at half time.

A ref that would have sent off Casemiro for those might seriously have sent Walker off for denying a direct goal scoring opportunity in what could arguably be the worst of the professional fouls we've seen, if you're going to be picky.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm glad he told Vini to get up. But he absolutely could have gotten a free kick for Walker quite blatantly pushing him in the back. Wasn't shoulder to shoulder at all.

A dive there from Casemiro too… he is a master shithouse I’ll give him that.

The ref has had a good half but come on, that was a yellow for sure, on foden

Maybe doesn’t want to be seen “ruining the game” by sending someone off.

He should do if required really but sometimes commentators moan if they do give a red card early .

The shirt pull aside, I think the ref has done alright in difficult circumstances.

Casemiro totally faked the injury after that shirt pull, though  lol
