RowlattsFox Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 Luis Diaz is what Barnes thinks he is. Brilliant player and a great signing.
OntarioFox Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 I'm not so fussed about Villareal sinking after what they did to Fofana in a pre-season friendly. Those willy-pullers ruined our season more than anybody else so it's rankled a little to see them do so well in Europe. Real Madrid to do Liverpool in the final after binning off Man City at their place, and I'm perfectly happy with the UCL this year. 1
Corky Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 Liverpool have shown great character against a team you were mocking before the game. Fletch and Macca are hideous.
RowlattsFox Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 Liverpool have been better of course but Villarreal did all that work to get back in it and then go back in their shell. Rodgers esque tactics 1
whetstonefox Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 Can we go back to hating Villarreal now as they pretty much derailed our season! 1

Spent the entire first leg and build up slagging them off for them to score 2 and suddenly take the team seriously.

Wymsey Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 (edited) If that second goal was Villarreal's, not Liverpool's, am convinced that it would've been called offside by a small hair length.. Edited 3 May 2022 by Wymsey
splinterdream Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 Think I'm gonna turn over villareal aren't pulling this back

Liverpool playing Athletico Dog and Duck managed by Manuel from Fawlty Towers until they show some quality despite being massive underdogs and now Liverpool are top class again.

With a top class manager overcoming a serious challenge. Can't be doing with them
Hammo Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 There are so many reasons to despise Liverpool: Their hordes of ‘fans’ in Leicestershire. Their ‘this means more’ holier than thou arrogance Their victimhood Their manager but above all of those: Their smug, biased cheerleading ex-player TV pundits. 1
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 That first half demonstrates pretty much the only way to beat Liverpool: High press, win all the second balls, quick pace, tons of energy etc. I know why Emery changed it at half time. Villarreal are just not good enough to maintain that level of effort for 90 mins. As soon as they dropped deeper, unfortunately that played into Liverpool’s hands and the game was over. Particularly Man City and to a lesser extent Real Madrid could play that way against Liverpool to get a result. But they’d have to match Liverpool’s levels of fitness. This team is supremely fit
Dan Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 It's just funny at this point. This is a legitimately worse performance than Karius. Just do not let these win a quadruple. It's the end of football, and possibly life as we all know it.

RowlattsFox Posted 3 May 2022 Posted 3 May 2022 (edited) Villarreal now decided to see how many injuries they can do on the last 5 minutes Edit: probably shouldn't joke about that given what they did to Fofana. Bastards. Edited 3 May 2022 by RowlattsFox 2
