Berardi said he wanted out prior to the close of the window, so you would suspect they have sourced a replacement. If we pick him up in January it will no doubt cost us but it could just give us the push for the New Year.

I think him wanting to leave and them having time to now find a replacement has changed things if what is said in the article is correct (which obviously it may not be).

I always felt that there was funds available but if you have earmarked a player and he wasn't available at the right price then we would have been right to walk away.
