Can someone please help me.

I ordered a sofa from Argos on 14/08/21 for a guaranteed delivery date of 31/08/21. I was working from home that day so I thought it’s fine I’ll just see when it arrives. Anyway it got to 5pm and it hadn’t arrived and I hadn’t had a text or call to let me know. I went on the website to see it said my delivery was now on for 11/09/21. I received no information and if I hadn’t have gone on the site I would not have known.

So today being the 11/09/21 I stayed in all day waiting for my delivery. I got a text last night saying that it would be delivered between 3-5 today. It got to 5:01 and with no delivery I rang Argos. Getting through they advised it wasn’t arriving today and will be here tomorrow. I am out tomorrow so I expressed my sincere disappointment and annoyance to them but they just said I need to call then tomorrow to cancel. So I need to ring them when they have ****ed me over! Has anyone experienced such awful customer service?

Argos can go **** themselves the incompetent bellends.

To confirm it wasn’t my main sofa just an assistant to the main sofa

It'll be alright, as long as you don't sit on it.

Get yourself down DFS, they've got a sale on lol

Those fvckers are worse than us car salesman from my experience.

Bang out of order from Argos though.

Can they not rearrange for a day you'll be in? Especially after waiting so long.

Speaking as a former Amazon delivery driver, I'd just lob it over the back gate lol

Mate I couldn’t believe it when I rang them at 5:01. How can they not update their own system to say to not deliver tomorrow. The fact that I have to call them again tomorrow to tell them to not deliver to me on a day that I never said I was available on is ****ing mental. Genuinely this is the worst customer service I have ever  experienced.

I can tell you're absolutely fuming and rightly so.

Get a Klippan from IKEA for under 200 quid. Tell Argos to fvck off and make sure everyone knows about it.

I'm fed up of companies using Covid and Brexit as excuses, just not on is it?

They've not made ridiculous promises, just said something will be there on a certain day. Simply not good enough if they can't fulfill that.

If someone wants a car off me thats at a different site, I'll tell them at least 10 days. Normally it's around 3 or 4.

Don't over promise and under deliver.

I’m sure my mum and dad bought a toaster from Argos once and when they got home and opened it it had toast crumbs in the crumb tray lol

Badger the fuxk out of them. I had a similar issue with next a few years ago. By the time they had offered refunds for every missed delivery date I paid 800 quid for a 1500 quid sofa.

You're wasting your time contacting customer services, they have no power. Email the ceo and ask for a full refund

I wonder if the National shortage of HGV drivers had had an impact on your sofa delivery.

We`ve just had a woman join our work as a van driver/general dogs body, and the pay is rubbish, who claims to have an HGV driver licence.  Baffling!

The one I'm still sitting on lol

A grey corner one. It's a fee years old now.
