The Man City fans didn’t liven our bunch up. We let them drown us out good and proper

Man City weren't that good. There were long periods when there was silence. Man Utd will be miles better.

Obviously.

I think it's more of the point that people haven't been doing it.

Usually is in games like this because people are up for it plus they will bring 3000 and won't stop singing.

...the last time I  went to a United game they sang all the way through!!!

Pretty good atmospheres when you hear that, very much like the European supporters.

We will start off on the front foot for 5 to 10 minutes then having failed to achieve any shots at goal, we will go into our shell, the ground will have become nervous and United will be in the ascendancy for the rest of the game.

It would  be great to give our players some backing but we struggle to maintain a vocal presence, very much taking our cue, as to what we are seeing on the pitch.

Perhaps the trick is that irrespective of what is happening on the pitch, just keep on singing, it seems the reason isn't to go and watch the game more living for the camaraderie on the terraces.

There is going to be a focus on Say No To Racism today. Would be nice for this to get supported and not bloody booed. I just know what’s going to happen, but I’m hoping I’m wrong.

Oh great!

I KNOW what to expect with some of our lot in L1.

Still it gives some a double excuse to Boo. First they can boo at this and then when the players take the knee.

I love some of our  fans!

I emailed the Fan Store why they don’t give supporters the option to have the SNTR logo on our shirt sleeves and I never got a reply. Not sure about you, but I’d rather have that than bloody Bia Saigon.

GET INTO EM....

Every time I hear this start up I think ‘FFS lads don’t bother, we’re either going to be down to 10 men or someone is going to get injured’

Absolutely, in fact I have to honest and admit I've gone full circle on this if I'm honest (not racism itself). I agreed for example with taking the knee at first then felt it lost it's way somewhat and lost it's impetus, I thought it should be stopped.

However, what I saw and read about at and after the Euros regarding our black players turned my stomach. In particular what happened to Sako, Rashford and Sancho etc.

Now I clap the taking of the knee. These things are far bigger than football and rivalries and I just think it could be good as supporters to get behind such things. Rashford may return today after a long injury lay off and I for one, albeit an opponent, wouldn't be averse to standing up and clapping him when he came on. I think it would be a great gesture and example! I don't know anything about Sancho but Rashford and Sako seem brilliant young lads on and off the pitch. I think such a gesture would mean something to our black players too that we think and bother about it.

Great idea in theory but I can imagine the backlash from SOME of our fans from this gesture too.

Like I've said before it is just gestures  that sometimes seem to look like the players are just going through the motions.

One day we wont need these gestures, but not in my lifetime unfortunately.

But back to your original question, the option to have SNTR is bloody brilliant. Keep pushing it. If anyone on here is still on the forums tell them to ask it at the next committee  meeting.

There's not many opposition players I'd get out of my seat for but Rashford is one of them.

I always applaud the taking the knee, not because I really approve of the gesture (like you I feel it has perhaps lost it's impetus) but to help drown out the morons who boo it.

You can get them on eBay for about £3. But I don’t trust myself to not wreck my £60 shirt haha.

Didn’t think I’d see the day that a club turned down money. They could charge £6 for these

That’s my point. If we couldn’t drown them blue mooners out, we don’t stand a chance today unless our fans shift gears
