Hopefully Filip Benkovic plays today, really would like see him get some game time as we did spend 13m on him. Surely he can't be worse then Vestergaard.

It would be a case of "what if" if we binned this lad off after four years, without us getting a chance to see what he can do against decent competition.  Wikipedia shows he made one League Cup appearance back in 2018, but I don't remember it?

Plus Evans needs the rest.  Probably 5,000-1 that he starts though.

I have a suspicion Mads has had the injections in his hip as he is moving well now compared to  last year. They work for a good while but do not put the problem away.Life of a professional athelete - no silly back backs please

Not sure if its been mentioned but being what day it is could mean that Kasper's given the night off or he might even request to be included. It must hit him differently to most

Given what we know about him he’s probably asked to play. Could be a nothing observation but he’s the only one in a puffer jacket in the ceremony video from today. Could be keeping his upper body warm ahead of later.

Genuine question for people putting Mendy in; why? If he's not registered for the PL or the EL what's the point in taking minutes away from other players who might need it.

Cos he's beautiful and has a purrdy smile.

If it’s like previous matches the ticket/entry info says you need to be vaccinated and bring proof (nhs app etc.) however there is zero checking or enforcement at the ground - you just scan your ticket at the turnstile and enter. I’ve not seen a single mask wearer in the various grounds we’ve played at either.

Not been to a home match in yonks, on account of living in…wait for it…Brighton!

So the question is do I actually need to print out the ‘print at home’ tickets, or can I just scan the QR code on them from my phone?

Personally I would print the ticket off. I've never tried or seen anyone scan their phone and its a long way to go back if it doesn't work.

Also note once in the stadium cash is not accepted anywhere (like most nowadays I think)

I have been checked once...technically, you and your dad need a Covid pass from the NHS app, which is fairly easy to do. The pass is only required for over 18's though. But they haven't been checking (I guess because the government binned the plans), and even if they are, they just tell you to have it next time (from what I heard behind me)

I would play tonight

Ward

Castagne

Vestergaard

Soyuncu

Thomas

KDH

Hamza

Maddison

Lookman

Daka

Barnes

Good thing tonight is that Barnes particularly and Lookman have something to prove, and even Vestergaard could doing with being solid (defensively that is).  This team or close to it should beat the Brighton team they put our against Swansea.  This is where we are really strong currently - in depth.  Front 6 very strong, Hamza played well at Palace, be tempted to rest Madders, and shame we can't rest Cags & Timmy.

Arsenal is massive now, another win Sat and we are right back up in the chase for 4th-6th again.

I went to Millwall, hope we play better tonight, it was a bit disjointed BUT confidence must be flowing through the club as onwards and upwards in the League, back in the frame in the EL & JJ & Wilf back v soon.

Only piece needed a bit of magic potions on making Wes better b4 Christmas!!!

Keep maddison away! Last thing we need is aggravating his injury for this one.

He needs to keep his momentum going. Who would you play instead considering at the moment Tielemans and Soumare are more important for us.

Anyone know if this game is likely to be streamed on anywhere tonight? I know Millwall wasn’t but it is a later stage in the competition tonight.

I will probably buy a ticket but trying to save as much money as I can…

Either. Last three matches we have just shown QR code on phones. Don’t think they would refuse you entry if you didn’t have it though. Least that is what I have heard.
