Whatever happened to the 'professional foul' and 'taking one for the team'

Tell you one thing that really bothers me living in the States - when they refer to our teams like this:

 

”Leicester is going really well this year”

 

Utterly ****s me off

I’d love to be able to reply that’s something we do on purpose just for British teams but that’s how we handle most collective nouns.  :P

Football clubs being referred to as the managers.. "Frank Lampards Chelsea" " Wayne Rooneys Derby" etc

 

Whenever a player scores.. " It just had to be him"

 

Anyone but Spurs being called "bottlers"
