Today confirms the expansion will be pushed back at least one further year.

That's the end of that then.

Laying the first brick tomorrow would be a better idea than starting next season with John Rudkin as director of football.

All this does is emphasise the fact that we've not been screwed by PSR and a corrupt league like some of whingebags would have you believe. There's no interest in investing money that doesn't belong to the club.

Converting loans into equity because of league rules doesn't count as "investing" either before anyone tries that.

Villa redeveloped stand.

I do wonder if the roof of the other 2 stands would block some views??? But looks decent.

60k? Have they got that many fans?

I doubt it, 40,000 with the ability to expand would seem more sensible, but american owners don't like that sort of talk.

With Villa, Wolves and WBA, I highly doubt they touch anywhere near 60k?

Me neither, maybe they'll scale back their plans, who know's, but historically they've never come close to those figures, and I can't see where they'd double their attendances even if they were flying high in the prem.

Leeds will be massive project as it’s likely to be a full redevelopment around the area akin to ourselves.

They’ll still need to submit a full planning application and go through the same process we did. Technically we’re still ahead in terms of the process. Funding and appetite to carry on with our project is an entirely different thing. I get the negativity but let’s see how things play out.

They want to have American football games. Which the ground must have 60000 seats.

I see, I guess they don't mind having a half empty stadium for 99% of the time, seems like quite a overhead but they know a lot more than I.

Leeds council own all the land around Elland Road and really want to push this for their own reasons

Soulsby and LCC on the other hand have never really shown an interest in driving this

I think it’s now basically on hold isn’t it?

There's over 50 clubs in this country who could comfortably take 45k to Wembley- doesn't mean all of them could fill anywhere near that for a standard home game.
