What do you expect him to say when he joins?  lol

You have put put some top posts through this topic...

Amusingly...he tells the media, over the last 6 weeks, with various statements, he is Happy at Leicester & wants to Stay und carry in the project.....

But...ooohhhh  No..!!  He doesn't mean it..!!:dunno:

He then has a gentle pop, at some fans.....and its the traitorous Act ,riding in on the Four horsemen of the apocalypse...

He s Shielded these players for over a year, admitted a few times hes also at fault, Never been a whiner over heavy injuries to Major Key players...

Unlike klopp, Pep & co...I am sorry but if a guy deserves Time to turn it around...despite woefull individual & Team form....its Rodgers..

Hes Not fallable, criticism is justifiable...But has shown, we Dont have squad Ressources on the Quality level we all had hoped....

A drop of form ,L'pool and others, still gets Top 4, or 6..or like Arsenal, a couple of dodgy seasons....

W.Ham,Everton,Leicester means at the moment...Only Top 12-7...or Fall from grace...

I will judge Rodgers on how he plays the rest of the season, Not on every Single game from now, but the whole spread...

His position, comes into question if he doesn't up performances & struggles too long between 14-10th....

I would accept Top 8-10 for this season...

But expect with this squad ,even with Player movements..more Holding Top 7-4, Club also responsible for These aspirations....or...!!

I'm not saying that legitimate criticism isn't merited, we have dropped off badly, but some folks will go overboard.

I often look at the post count on people that have really jumped the shark, it is quite often the tourists that are most bonkers. The regulars will generally represent the diversity of opinion a bit better, whatever their view is.

Going over the top is part of human nature, especially when the hurt is repeated and fresh in the mind (the recency bias is strong). Some of the comments are garbage though. The reality is there is a lot we don't know about what is going on behind closed doors, and filling in all the blanks confidently is bound to lead us up blind alleys at points.

Elite squad? Elite means the best in the world. You really don’t think that do you?

Huge pay? Yes, we do historically compared to other Leicester sides, but it’s still only ninth highest in the Prem.

He didn’t throw everyone under the bus. He was asked about the booing and he said he was disappointed, as he inevitably is. Of course you would be if something happened that could undermine the confidence of your players. Of course people can boo if they wish as well. Don’t get angry though if someone calls it out for being a negative influence.

He has squad full chock of international players. Elite I would say if not RM, Barca levels. Excuses are easy. I didn't mention booing though maybe it will shake him up a little as needed. He is too full of his own ego to realise his tactics and formations are pulling us down at the moment. Dissing your own players in essence isn't helpful especially when it implies he is blameless. Some humility world not go amiss.

Its strange Martin O’Neill and Brian Little was adored by the fans yet Claudio Ranieri to an extent and Brendan Rodgers never really have.

....I do not see that with Claudio, mind you the edge might have been taken off it with the way we were plummeting down the league!!!

But you will see come Sunday how much he is revered by this club.

Thanks for this. I found it eventually on You Tube.  I will get slaughtered for saying this, but what he actually said about over achieving is correct and being disappointed at the crowd reaction is probably natural for him and the team given the last 2 plus seasons.  In hindsight he probably should have responded along the lines of 'we are all disappointed at the performance and our supporters are within their rights to show their disappointment in the way they did'.

Me thinks a lot of what he was saying was for the Man United board i.e. attempting to cover up a totally inept performance from him and his team by pointing out previous achievements. Lets face it, if he has a job interview lined up this week, last Saturday is not going to help.  Just my opinion and probably BS.

Every time somebody moans irl about something in their day to day life, I'm going to remind them we were in League 1 thirteen years ago as a bit of #perspective. Aston Villa have a higher net spend so they what should they expect?

Well by definition of his comments on taking over, he and the team haven't over achieved at all, and met the expectations he set. To now say that's an over achievment is a blow to the fans, team and owners who likely employed him based on his expectations, and there's being aligned. To now discard those comments as a Manager saying what everyone wants to hear is a bit of a cop out.

Just hope he can fix this situation tbh, but if it continues and we get near the relegation zone, Top will pull the trigger I am sure. Fans have their part to play was my point, and we can be the 12th man for either side.

Isn’t part of being the 12th man showing displeasure when effort levels aren’t high enough??

Getting behind the players, encouraging them to take risks, helping to motivate them to give that extra 1%. But notice when it’s not happening???

(I’ve never booed in my life, but I think that there’s a place for it right now!)

Totally is, but effort does not necessarily equate to success, it just feels weird right now and I am not sure whats up with them all. Maybe confidence, and if so, not sure how boo'ing helps  :dunno:

Strange criticism...Implies You are willing to go Off half-cocked, like many others....and Cherry pick statements,or just a bit Lazy to what Suits your own agenda..

Rodgers has stated & Made a point of saying...on 3-4 occasions to my knowledge...That he is also to Blame for some of the Teams misendeavours, and it lies

at his own feet ,and in his responsibilities to improve and to get the Team performing as he & fans hopes they will, and openly said that hes made mistakes..

So hes shown the humility...But You wont have it because you Dont even follow post game interviews...Sky,BBC, ITV, Local radio.....

Maybe just too easy to Read clickbait...and other such Posters Lack of information...!!

Criticise him by all means...But gather ALL the information first...

When your post makes fair points and logical sense, I'll respond appropriately. Until then...

I just commented on what he actually said as you and everyone else on this board and beyond know he did and not extrapolated anything. His actual words. You have to comment and judge him on those, which I and others have.

Normally, I enjoy your posts but you were way off with that one and this one. Now, don't really die laughing and let's hope for a win.

Ditto Thats Why your post Surprised me...

He, Rodgers actually has committed & stated he carries also the blame & responsibilities....

One has to Read into all his interviews & statements over this so far Short seasons phases....

He s not ran Away from those responsibilities, but once twice said, then one doesn't Keep repeating Shortly past statement/theme or interviews....I

If was your post saying he implies he is blameless....Where he was been up front & took responsibility on his own short-comings..
