A lot of dross but some actual real quality in this tournament. I would love Senegal to play Nigeria either in the final or the latter stages. That would have the makings of a really good match.

Just looked up their team and it’s stacked. Senegal would give most teams a run for their money

I also did the same last night, they’re strong in every department. They would have comfortably got to the last eight in Euro 2020, for example.

Something people need to realize is that there was very very little time for preparation. All teams are very very rusty, almost no friendlies were played etc.

So don't expect great football at the start

Secondly amartey waa quite good yesterday from my view as a moroccan. He's solid. Passing wasn't the best but that's his biggest flaw. Ghanas problem is their attack

But that would mean Iheanacho and Ndidi staying out there for longer. Do you really want that?

Not if the option was there but I read somewhere that players will stay out there regardless as to how their nation does.

Being from Leicester, we have a large ex-Malawian community. Finishing was absolutely rubbish yesterday but let's get behind the Flames for the Nyasaland Derby on Friday.

Barcelona v Real Madrid

Liverpool v Man United.

Ac v Inter

Etc.

None are bigger than Malawi v Zimbabwe (unless if Zambia qualified then that would be the bigger game).

Got a feeling our Kelch is going to tear things up!

He'll be Nigerias main man up front, 20/1 for top goalscorer 😉

Just a wee bitty knee strain enough to keep him out for, say, exactly one month.  Then good as new.

Downloaded the fubo app to watch this and FFS, it is $65 a month.  I can't even risk forgetting to cancel the free trial.  I'll catch highlights later.

Fair play I guess, for once those in the UK have better, cheaper access to the football than us Yanks.

Why did UEFA not move one of the international breaks to coincide with AFCON?

Come on ffs.  Far to sensible.  That's like asking the French Government to ban the sale of Dinghies in France.
