An academy keeper that had already had a couple of loans in the Scottish L2 and League 1  and played 28 league games.

 

Who do we have in the academy who has any experience now?

 

Brad Young is the most experienced we a dozen games in the National league.

 

We also had Ward and Iversen kicking around.

 

We are going to save probably 80k on Iversen and Ward wages, reinvesting some of that in a new keeper isn't a bad idea.

There's a difference between who we played and who we had.

I can guarantee you if Stol gets injured end of March and we need an experienced keeper to be around for the Championship horror that is April.... we'd all be fuming of Bausor was asked to step in!

I wouldn't be against Freddy Woodman or Angus Gunn coming in to challange Stol next season.

Both are out of contact in the summer and decent keepers for the championship.

I think we were linked with Woodman a year or two ago. Could see Woodman to us and Iversen going to PNE both on frees.

Agree with this, people will point at Gunn being in the 9-0 game, but he's a solid enough championship keeper.

 

If Mads goes, Stolaryczyk should get the number 1 shirt, but an experienced, steady backup would be great, with Brad Young as 3rd choice.

Gunn is dreadful, end of.

 

Also don't think the club have any interest in Brad Young whatsoever, probably 2 or 3 in front of him for that 3rd spot.

Good shout although I'd expect he'd want the number 1 shirt

In our current situation, we don’t need a new starting keeper. Stols in no way embarrassed himself playing in the prem and should cope easily in the championship. I really hope SOMEONE  at the club puts their sensible cap on and  spends the money elsewhere..

Obviously going to get more cash then he would elsewhere, but moving to be third choice at his age is ridiculous
