And there wouldn't be the buyback option which IMO should not be allowed! 3

MPH Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 Watford supporting family member (?!?) said about Asprilla “ He is a good player, I like him. I think going to a club like Leicester would be a good move. Chips in with some cracking goals!“

A buy back clause on McAtee doesn't put me off in the slightest. He'll probably never be good enough for them. The words "hefty sell on clause" put me off the most. We're a club that exists to make money up selling. We're in a financial mess because we let a hack manager convince us to stop that. Don't want to invest in a young player only to lose the ability to profit off selling him on. 1

Unless he managed to get a release clause in his contract for relegation, he'd cost a lot more than we could probably structure for McAtee. 1

So far I am not sure they have ever utilised one that they've inserted yet. I wonder if they have one for Cole Palmer as that's got to be the first real "mistake" that they have made in the market for a while. But I just don't like the idea of it on principle. This season they are bringing in Savio who the City Group signed through Troyes, but was sent to Girona to get round FFP, and now is being sold to Man City without much competition for his signature. I wonder why!? This stuff is killing football! 2
LestaLad Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 Rumours were after Plymouth GK Michael Cooper. Leicester fan too. 1
Fuchsocksblu Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 Oh no not the legion of goal keepers again! Unless we sell Jakub? Goalkeepers is hardly a department we need to look at though
CaliFOXnia Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 If there is even an ounce of a chance that it could happen, Yaser Asprilla is someone we should be going full belt for. Ticks every single box. 3
OadbyBlue Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 Surely Cooper dosen’t come to warm the bench? If Hermansen is off he’s a good replacement, but I’d rather keep him.

Dahnsouff Posted 22 May 2024 Posted 22 May 2024 (edited) We certainly seem to be shopping at the sales if these links are to be believed, but if we have done our due diligence it could be a welcome return to form Or alternatively a Sunday League donkey derby. Edited 22 May 2024 by Dahnsouff
