Smoking. As a youngster I gave my dad so much grief for smoking not in the house or anything but I'd grass him up to my mum all the time.

Now having smoked myself for the past 20 years I really do now see the appeal, elevates a beer, makes coffee nice, helps you breath after you've been coughing.

Don't know whether it's changing my mind or moving with the times but it's only in the last couple of years I've stopped buying cds and use Spotify instead.

Was always adamant I would never do it. Now I can only be arsed to buy a physical copy of an album if it's a band I really love.

Tracksuit bottoms. I'll confess to being a bit snooty in my youth on these things. Now occasions when I have to wear trousers I feel a genuine pang of annoyance.

I volunteer in a charity shop and we get donations of CDs/DVDs. The same titles keep coming in and, as we rotate stock every 2 weeks, we are just replacing the stuff we send to recycling with the same stuff nobody really wants.

I can't see a future for physical media in terms of films for sure. However vinyl is quite a thing at the moment.

I'm too old school. I still like to have the physical copy.

Mushy peas

Used to love them but ever since I saw them described as Pea Wet I've not been able to look at another tin lol

I've changed my mind about changing my mind. I used to be contrary and stuck in my ways, but now if someone can make a reasonable and good argument for me to change my mind on something, I will.

I completely agree, the phrase cutting your nose to spite your face comes to mind otherwise.

Pea Wet is the liquid you get when you drain mushy peas.

And then what do you do with it?

I can't say I've ever had to drain mushy peas. They seem to come in a fairly thick consistency.

Not officially tested/positive but I'm convinced I had it early on.

Why? You rekon a change of taste?

Cures vampirism apparently.

You put the pea wet over fish and chips, I've never had it but that is what it was when I looked it up. I agree I just have regular mushy peas. They have been my favourite food since I was a student.

Chippy tea. Thought they were always a disappointment in Leicestershire, moved up North and fully changed my mind.

Because?

I love a chippy tea. There's a chippy near us that has big, meaty battered cod/haddock and really chunky chips, even though we live in Hinckley. About as far inland from the sea as you can get.

The monarchy - Used to be a Republican when I was younger, now I think I'd probably slightly favour someone brought up to be apolitical and act a certain way as monarchy over a President as head of state, where there can be political issues between the President and PM. As long as the power is kept with Parliament I'm not too bothered either way though.

Conversely to bovril, I've become far more left wing on issues such as immigration and crime over the years. Realise more and more as years go by and I've met people from more diverse backgrounds just how dehumanising and brutal our immigration controls and long incarseration periods are for many people, often the most vulnerable people in the country and the world. May be proven wrong of course, but I genuinely believe that they are things (along with things such as meat eating), which future generations will very likely look back on us with horror and consider us savages and draconian for, as we do to past generations with things like colonialism, child labour, slavery, treatment of gender roles and anti-LGBT laws/Section 28.

I agree, but I do not believe that Nige would have got us the PL title. Not saying he wasn't a good manager for us when you consider what he did. As you say, it's hypothetical but I just don't think he had the charisma to get our team to that pinnacle. CR built such a rapport and huge team spirit that I didn't really detect with NP.

I'll always attribute that title win to Kante more than Ranieri. As soon as Kante was removed we looked awful.
