The usual reason for losing is being beaten by a better team , sometimes better on the day and sometimes because they are fundamentally better. There are teams who will beat us seven times out of ten.

...your contention was we are unreasonable when we lose games and find scapegoats as a way of venting our frustrations!!!

What I am saying is that, so long as you can see the reason why something has not turned out how it should, we can accept the situation.

Some are saying ,if Fofana goes we will have to accept a poor season until we can reinforce the defense. However on here the majority will not accept one defeat let alone say three in a row.. They will be ripping into anybody they can find to take the blame. The reasonable posters who look beyond immediate results are in the minority.

Expecting a tough season is very different from seeing it happen.

I expect my mum will take a sh!t today... Doesn't mean I want to watch it.

You are a sensible and reasonable poster but I would say you are in the minority. Most on here indulge in a blame game even when we lose to an obviously stronger team . A culprit must be found. The biggest problem I find is black and white thinking. We are an above average PL team but to some we are either championship contenders or relegation fodder. We could easily have a few seasons in mid table and that is not the end of the world. No, you should have ambition and not just settle but every team thinks that.

...thanks for the endorsement... but black and white thinking is a universal trait!!!

Sometimes best to ignore such polarised views, they say it is hell in the "match Thread", I never go in there myself, but people react and say things on the spur of the moment, no more or less than you would hear at the ground. You wouldn't look to engage with anyone spouting outlandish comments on the terraces, you just take it as he or she is misguided and carry on watching the game.

It's called human nature. Sometimes it's good to have passion. People are emotional and say things they don't mean, it doesn't mean that they should be labeled any less of a fan or ridiculed or put down by the holier than thou types on here and at the ground. When I proclaim for ****s sake at a bad miss or a goal let in some people in the row in front look at me like I've just landed in a UFO. I think they're the strange ones for just sitting there emotionless when something like that happens. Footballs there so people can let steam, it sometimes needs a rant. These hindsight Henry's who are always calm and collected and level headed freak me out.

Let's be honest we all knew those was going to happen. Hes a little shit but we can't complain about it.

He can rot. He's just signed a 5 year contract and presumably took a 6 figure signing on fee. The clubs need some kind of recompense for this behaviour.

The club should call him out. He's a young player, is this really the reputation he wants? Does he want to go without football for a year or more?

The price is £85m+, if Chelsea don't pay he's not going. Name him in the team for the weekend. He's been told by his agent this ploy will work and I think the club should call his bluff.

Massively weakens our position regarding fee.

Not really...we don't have to sell him. He's in contract so the position doesn't change. We have a history of holding firm (Mahrez, Maguire etc.) and still command a fee.

I'm actually really annoyed by this. His job is to play for Leicester he's paid well to do so, surely he's in breach of his contract. Or is there a clause saying he can act like a spoilt child every time a Billy big bollocks fake billionaires playtoy club who used to have grass growing on the terraces and crowds of less than 10k 30 years ago comes in for him?

I’m not someone to ‘slag off’ any players, even after Mahrez threw his toys out I always respected him, but if this is true with Fofana, the sooner he goes the better.

It’s not even about being bitter now, it’s so unprofessional, Chelsea have to worry about signing a player who does this, because it means he’ll do it to them when he wants out there too.

It’s a shame it’s come to this really.

We name in the team and he plays shite we do ourselves, he was shite last week. We can't really win we give in to the little cvnts demands or we play him and watch him not give a shit. Totally annoyed by this shouldn't be allowed to happen at all. Breach of contract.

We won’t want to keep a player who is effectively refusing to play for us at the club. We’ll get rid for less than we want.
