There's been a lot of criticism, pretty justified, for our defence this year. It's easy to overlook the impact of individuals when they're out of a team for a long time. 

 

It becomes easy to minimise just how big a difference it can make. 

 

Actually watching the two play in consecutive games just really puts a spotlight on how sizable the gap is. Yeah they're probably first and fourth choice now but I don't imagine every club has a first choice that's possibly a future French international and a fourth that would be at home mid table in the league below.

in fairness he was great covering for ndidi with his long injury.. very harsh he missed out on a prem place.  I’d bin soumarè and extend Mendys contract personally

wondering if a front 2 of Daka and Iheanacho is the best option for this formation.
