Cracking team. I would have selected something similar. Very excited to see Thomas back, and we have some serious pace there too. Daka and Lookman to run Palace ragged.

So it's official - the Conference League is our first team competition. EPL in tatters. 

 

Quite like that actually - if Daka stops playing like he and the ball are being repelled by magnets, we have the personnel to get in behind quickly if KDH and Mendy are effective in recycling play.

Much changed as expected.

 

Fofana, Evans, Castagne, Barnes, Pereira, Iheanacho all rested. Thought one of Maddison, Youri or KDH might have been rested too. At least with Mendy back it takes away some of their defensive responsibility away. 

 

Glad to see Daka playing from the start. Iheanacho and Barnes need the rest for Thursday in mind.

We can get a taste of what it'll be like to see Gallagher and KDH playing in midfield at the KP before they strike their partnership up next season

I haven't made it to the match today, and quite disappointed after seeing that team! Glad to see Ade back in the starting line up :). Hopefully he makes the most of the opportunity.

Yep, good that several players are getting a rest, yet we still have a decent team. I agree that we shouldn't overuse KDH, I'm concerned the temptation will be to burn him out.

Unless of course Rodgers does actually think Lookman is a striker now

Lookman has played up top in the diamond before, I think he'll hover, as will Maddison.

All the people saying injuires didn't matter this season, look at the strength of the two sides we have put out on Thursdays and today.

 

Pretty confident with a full squad we would have been fighting for the top 6.

Does he though? He was a county level runner in his youth and is consistently our best runner in terms of numbers. If he’s carrying a knock that’s a different story, but he’s one of those players who has an insane engine. Probably the player with the best stamina in the squad since Kante left.
