This is a great question. I can't see any reason why tickets can't stay on sale until at least Noon on Friday to give people as much time as possible to decide depending on result of the first leg and as you say to get a bit more cash flow in, lots of reasons people will have to be unsure and very likely to sell a few hundred more. I think if we are in the lead or level and they put them back on sale on Friday then it would push a lot in to going for it.

I didn't have any plans to go but now I can actually get hold of tickets I am tempted to go but I'm not paid until the end of the week. |I'm sure I can't be alone in thinking that?

I could borrow the £ until payday but if there's no reason to take them off sale today, seems yet again another fail by the ticket office with no clarity for the decision (that I can see anywhere anyway).

Do we actually get money for selling away tickets in Europe? And in particular, do we get a pro rata amount based on how many we sell?

I meant cash flow for the fan buying the ticket as in wages being paid for a lot on Thursday or Friday. No idea about the club's income from it.

Sorry, I completely missed that bit...

If people are only going "dependent on the first leg result" then I'm glad they're not. If you can't afford it then fair enough, but this is Leicester playing Roma away competitively in Europe.

Could be some that would be more motivated to go if we are losing as less likely to need money for the final or more motivated to see what could be a last game in Europe for a while. Either way if the club are allowed to i'm sure they would sell more tickets if they kept the sales process open for longer.

Also how many tickets go to commercial. It's naive to think club staff and other parties shouldn't get tickets, but make it clear. This is from a few mates who are going to watch Liverpool play Villareal, apparently they do this for every cup final and european away game:

The club has received an allocation of 2,062 tickets for this all-ticket fixture. In line with UEFA guidelines, a further 240 top category seats have been allocated to be used as part of the players' allocation and staff, travelling club staff and VIPs.

Does anyone know why they go off sale at 4pm today? Is there a valid reason?

A lot of tickets still available but also, most people aren't paid from work until tomorrow or Friday, i guarantee if they could keep them on sale for another day or two they'd sell a few more hundred at the least.

I think there is some actual sound thinking behind that - need to communicate to Roma/Rome police of numbers (for escort) and arranging delivery of tickets

Deadline also extended to 8am tomorrow

Good news for those that were waiting for this.

I wonder if the ticket office staff will refuse a ticket to Lorenzo Spaletti who has 2 home priority points from the Norwich and Roma home matches.

Club have been asked about this and apparently their answer is that those people wouldn't feel comfortable seating in the main stand (like Rennes did here). Fairly sure this happened at Bruges as I swear (but its probably the most pissed I've ever been for a game), there were City fans in the main stand.

It would be good if the club explained things a lot more. For example, tickets are going off sale on Wednesday at 16:00 because x and y.

It's because they have to send details of names back to Roma so they can check to see we've not sold them to people we shouldn't do. It's a uefa thing and the Italian clubs give very harsh deadlines. Napoli were even worse apparently.

I've just detailed what I was told but it correlates with this. They need to tell the police who as well so they can check on any banned lists.

I imagine there are plenty of people who had they known they stood a chance of getting a ticket they’d have already made plans, might be too late for some now. Some very strange decision making again.

That seems logical, although the club must have had some say in it as they've just extended the deadline until tomorrow now so surely if they could have done that from the beginning they should have pushed it as far as possible from the start?

I bet there are some (like me) who saw the sales deadline initially and ruled themselves out of it as it was before pay day.

There were fans in the left end of the main stand (looking at it) - recall the 'we are the left side' etc etc being sung. or was it right.......

Apparently ticket office now saying pick up tickets in Rome.

Going to be a long queue.

Lots of conflicting rumours. I’ll wait until they announce it (probably Thursday morning at this rate)

Mad. They’ve gotta be innovative with how they do it. Surely dividing the queue like they did in places like Copenhagen rather than a long queue like Eindhoven.

Can't wait to show off my new purchase in the queue.
