Popular Post phoneticerror Posted 15 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2024 I watched the highlights again. I wish my Mrs legs could open as wide as that for the 4th goal. 12

He's just shit, does the basics but just doesn't make any miracle saves like Mads. He doesn't "do the basics" though. If it comes out in 10 years time that he was a money laundering scheme I wouldn't be surprised. Disgraceful that he's involved 2 weeks away from 2025, but what do you expect from life under King Power nowadays. 4

Paninistickers Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 A well run, functional business would've pulled Danny in at the end of relegation and told that we'll honour his contract but his registration will be released and he's free to find another club. There's no need to embarrass him and make that public. Him and his agent would be free to negotiate a deal elsewhere without needing to find the money he is due. Likewise when Enzo purged the remaining coaching staff, leaving the club at the mercy of Enzo men, a well run club would've kept the coaches on in another capacity. Thick as pigshite down there 4
Pita Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 I read that Wrexham are in need of a goalkeeper can’t we give him to them as a Christmas present 1
Popular Post Langston Posted 15 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2024 It's well and good arguing that he wasn't especially at fault for any of the goals yesterday, but fans have a right to be more than a little deflated seeing Ward appear for us in a league game in 2024. His continued presence alone is borderline emblematic of the subpar standard the club seems determined to set itself. 5

The defence completely capitulated the moment Ward was subbed in, it was like instant deja vu back to the 22/23 season. 4

Surely you would want the opportunity to go elsewhere and rebuild your reputation somewhat. It's naïve, I know, but I'm embarrassed for him. Id question his intelligence if he decided to walk away from 2 million a year to try and prove he's a good keeper, when he knows himself it isn't true.
Popular Post dylanlegend Posted 15 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2024 (edited) It baffles me that football coaches and managers that are paid well dont realise how shite he is. He might be amazing in training but he is for me the main reason we got relegated. The fact hes even on the bench winds me up - terrible goalkeeper Edited 15 December 2024 by dylanlegend 5

splinterdream Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 You could see when Ward came on he was bricking it, he can obviously make saveloy instinct, as we've witnessed in cup games, but I think he has no bottle, and when the pressure is on him his brain freezes
Blue ROI Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 The atmosphere will get hostile if he starts next weekend.

Popular Post Number 6 Posted 15 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2024 Even when not at major fault I feel like shots just go through him. He just won't make an unexpected save and any semi decent shot will go in. 5

Already got hostile in my own living room yesterday, my young lad was absolutely fuming, shouting all sorts. Had to explain to his mother to let it slide - Danny Ward had come on and shipped two goals in as many minutes. 1
Haywood_6 Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 Shouldn't still be at the club. Epitomises everything about how we are run the last few years. Weak 1
Wymsey Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 Am surprised that he didn't seemingly learn much from Schmeichel. Near-complete opposites of goalkeepers.

Gamble92 Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 Agree that you can't blame him for the goals but I just think he instills so much fear into the defence and there's such a lack of organisation in the backline when he's in. 1
Popular Post OwnGoal Posted 15 December 2024 Popular Post Posted 15 December 2024 This we can’t blame him for the goals is the wrong line of thought. He doesn’t make saves. Keepers need to make saves. It’s like not blaming a striker for missing loads of half chances. Good strikers score half chances. A good keeper makes good saves. He does not help the defence out in any way. The back four is awful, but in Mads they don’t get punished for every mistake and poor play they do. Mads gets us out of jail. Ward all but took us down on his own two years ago and we were a good side. Now we are dog shite and he reappears and we are having record number of shots against us each week. Praying he’s never seen on my tv screen again. 7
henry56 Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 Apart from being a league one keeper at best you can tell his defence have zero confidence in him . It was clear in the relegation season when Rogers played him for 28 games of stunning ineptitude . 2

JimJams Posted 15 December 2024 Posted 15 December 2024 He's shit, and I don't think it's a stretch to say he's probably responsible for the other 31 goals we've conceded this season. 1
